I wanted to title the thread, "The Deception Dollar - WTF?" but I thought that might be skirting Rule8 a little too blatantly, so I'm including it in the text.

Les Jamieson's web page states that the Deception Dollar has printed and distributed "millions".

The Deception Dollar
Blaine Machan's Deception Dollar is probably the most successful 9/11 skeptics' resource ever. Designed to promote 9/11 truth sites, it replaces the portrait of Washington with a scowling George W. Bush. Millions have been minted and distributed by Carol Brouillet, director of the Deception Bank, who plows the proceeds back into the movement. Also available at the 911truth.org Store are an "Election Deception Dollar" and a "Media Dollar."

I've bolded the parts I'm scrutinizing.

"Probably the most successful 9/11 skeptics' resource ever..." ??? I've never seen or heard of one until I saw this snippet on 911Truth. Has anyone seen one handed out? Has anyone been swayed to The Truth by this stupid gimmick?

"Millions hae been minted and distributed...". Millions of individual copies? Or millions of "face value"? (Which would be rather easy since the face value is a billion!)

Since 911 Truth is a Big Apple group, I guess all of you New Yorkers have received one of these, right?

Wow, this is a regular cottage industry. They've got 14 different versions (http://www.deceptiondollar.com/Gallery/i.htm) of the bills. Each bill is coated with ads for 9-11 conspiracy websites, who I assume paid for the privilege. There's a collector's page (http://www.geocities.com/emerging.geo/oldgold.html) which offers the bills as collector's items, and tells you how many of each they've printed. I count just over 4.5 million made, selling for 7 to 28 cents each, depending on how many you buy. Paytriotism at its finest.

I got one a long time ago when I ordered a book from the US via ebay. It totally mystified me for about two seconds, and then I dumped it somewhere. Might still be around.

They were passing them out here in MN at an event a few days ago- along with some other material, including this ridiculous handout:

Toys and lies is all it is- to make themselves feel better.

What's the exchange rate between Deception Dollars and Schrute Bucks (http://www.tobyhilden.com/schrute_buck.html)?

Deception Dollar : Schrute Bucks
400,000 : 1

(A Schrute buck is worth five minutes of extra coffee break time. The Troofers have nothing but spare time, otherwise how'd they come up with all this sewage?)

What's the exchange rate between Deception Dollars and those Bill Clinton $3 bills that were popular in the late 90s?

A thousand Schrute Bucks is worth five minutes of extra coffee break time.

I'm not even ashamed that I know that.

Well, then... at 1 S$ = 1/1000th of a 5 min break, then you have to calculate that...

Hey! They said there'd be no math!
