From that link ... "It [The Secret] was spoofed on "Saturday Night Live" when a man portraying a refugee in the Darfur region of Sudan was blamed for having negative thoughts.":D Funny!!! (if you don't happen to live in a disaster area or abject poverty.)
Do you think a bleever in "The Secret" would be willing to completely swap places with a Darfur refugee and be able to wish it all better? That would form the basis for a fantastic $1M prize preliminary test - the refugee would benefit and it would be a great example of Darwinism in action too. ;)

For more giggles, search youtube for "David Schirmer". Schirmer is an Australian "investment coach" and "teacher" for "The Secret". In fact, those who own advertise "The Secret" list him on their website as one of the principal personalities associated with this nonesense.
It appears that David has a habit of taking investor cash and returning ZERO from his alleged investments. He is a total fraud. Check out the youtube videos; pure comedy of the highest WOO.

It seems to me, the funny part is that people like Hitler were very "positive" thinkings -- at least when it came to their own talents. Right up to the end, he kept thinking postive thoughts that the Russians would fail, that the German Army would win...he dismissed people with negative thoughts, information from his life. So, I guess positive thinking works...

And remember all those people who died in the holocaust? They brought it on themselves with their negative thinking.
and rape and murder victims
and you when you stubbed your toe this morning.
Everything positive or negative in your life is brought on by you. No exceptions. This is what The Secret teaches and it's meant to be taken literally.

And if wishes and positive thinking were horses...that not only would begger's ride...but Iraq would be a calm, functioning democracy.

Must say, even though that actress doesn't look like Oprah she has her mannerisms down pat.
