Although it seems one of the people might have wanted that to happen by the end of the cruise.

Discontent with the Alaskan cruise??

One person thinks so. Seems she spent a lot of money to go on the cruise and had to leave one of SB's lectures because her baby was crying. She went out to quiet him down and when she tried to get back in, they wouldn't let her come back. She was upset because she said she paid as much as everyone else did.

Her question for Sylvia was about her career and what she should be doing. SB said "teaching" - when she asked "teaching what" SB told her, "kids".
She said teaching kids is the last thing she wants to do (while stating that SB probably knows her better than she knows herself). *shakes head* She said she tried it and had to quit because she hated it, was bored and SB's answer just confused her more than she already was.

She was also upset because Heather didn't tell her she would be going on the cruise and when she saw her, she figured she shouldn't talk to her because if Heather wanted to talk to her she would have told her she would be on the cruise. Poor thing!

And Sylvia passed her a few times and always looked unhappy and irritated. When she got her book signed, SB didn't look up at her. (Oh, the injustice!)

And she didn't hear anything at any of the lectures that she hadn't already heard (we all could have told her that and saved her the $3000+) and she enjoyed Collette Baron-Reid's lecture more than Sylvia's.

So Alaska was beautiful but the trip was expensive.
Her answer from Sylvia made her more confused.
Sylvia was cranky (she chalked that up to Sylvia being in a wheelchair because of her bad hip).
A lot of other people agreed that Sylvia was unhappy and cranky.

So are the "fans" beginning to see the REAL Sylvia Browne??
One can only hope so!

Is that niacin or lecithin she should take to cure that hip pain? Or should she just avoid wheat?

Compare that to my first experience at TAM this past January. I was standing with a small group of people near the registration desk early on the first day, and saw Randi nearby. I gave him a little "Hi!" fanwave, and he came right over to say hi, and talked to all of us for a few minutes. Really nice guy, too. :)

Surfing through countless Montel transcripts, I'm periodically struck by how insensitive and rude she is to her own fans, some of which are really looking to her for answers to some big problems.

I even wanted a start a thread on it : "Sylvia: Rude Nonsense!"

Thinking about it, though, I'm glad she's so insensitive to her fans' life crises. That's better than the phony compassion, say, Maury Povich shows his "guests".

Thinking back on it, that's actually SSB.com's first ever article: how rude she is to her fans in public appearances.

My spirit guide (Goldilocks) says she should take arsenic.

Doesn't this person ever watch the Montel show?

Browne is cranky, unhappy and irritated almost every time anyone is asking her a question, and often when they aren't.

I assume you're referring to the June 17-24, 2007 cruise.

Anyone know how many people went to this?

Speaking of SB's career advice, check out this amusing exchange:

Unidentified Woman #8: Hi, Sylvia. I just wanted to know, where do you see my career going? I'm going to school right now to get my Master's. Where do you see me?

Ms. BROWNE: In therapy.

Woman #8: Do you see me...

WILLIAMS: Do you see her in therapy, or as a therapist?

Ms. BROWNE: No. Getting into therapy work. Helping people, working with people.

Woman #8: Do you see me teaching?

Ms. BROWNE: I see you doing therapy.

WILLIAMS: That's what she sees.

Ms. BROWNE: Doing therapy, not in therapy.

Woman #8: OK. But you--because I'm going to school right now for teaching.

Ms. BROWNE: I don't give a rat's whatever. What I'm trying to tell you is you get into therapy.

WILLIAMS: And on that note, please welcome Tom. Where's Tom? See, wait. I got to say it. It's so funny. Now, before--before every show that we do here, I'm sorry, but I'll let the audience at home in on this, I go through a whole list of rules, OK? One of those things I say is that you came a long way to ask Sylvia questions. If you came this far away, don't come here to have her validate what you say. Listen to what she says.

Ms. BROWNE: That's what I always say to them on the phone if they argue with me, `Why did you spend your money to call me?'

WILLIAMS: Don't bother calling!

Ms. BROWNE: If you know the future, why do you call me?

WILLIAMS: And you know, speaking of that, this person doesn't know the future, and didn't know the--Tom...

Ms. BROWNE: That's right. And how many people have come back to me and said, `I never believe what you said until it happens.'

WILLIAMS: There you go.

Now, Tom, you came here for another reason, sir. What did you want to find out?

Anyone know how many people went to this?

There were 524 people with the Hay House portion of the cruise. Hay House held a "meet and greet" cocktail hour for those who were cruising with SB and Collette Baron-Reid. Ms Reid showed up - Browne didn't. That's how much she cares about the people who booked the cruise to be with her.
