In one thread someone mentioned that income and property taxes were a violation of privacy.

Well, what do you think of web sites like this:

http://find.intelius.com/?refer=27&adword=phone+number

Go ahead and give yourself a search.

Let's face a few facts, there is no privace in the US anymore, has not been for 20 years or so, and there is less every day, but its not just the government that's encroaching on that privacy, its mostly private industry in fact, and certianly the infomation kept by the IRS on income information is the least of the privacy issues.

Kind of frieghtening but mainly frustratinh that I would have to pay $20 to find out what. Criminal background checks are standard when you are a social worker.

I was there but the information is outdated. Lets face a better fact, information costs money and the more money someone is willing to spend, the more likely it is they will get what they want.

If I wanted hard enough I could find out who you are. I think I already know who you are (that is your name and address) and I didn't even have to hire a PI.

Ah, found myself. I had to broaden the search, though, since my location was over two years out of date.
