This one looks really good.

Conspiracy fact - not theory!
The Proof

Steve's girlfriend Karen runs a conspiracy magazine. When
she receives an incriminating computer disc then disappears,
Steve is thrust into a world of secrecy and danger. With the
help of Dan, an ex-FBI agent, they search for his lost girlfriend
but instead find troubling evidence behind the Sept.11th attack.

And so on.....

He apparently has a cameo part in it too.
:D

So ... Is this supposed to be fictional? You know, like Loose Change was supposed to be.

Yes, with very poor acting from what must be his mates I presume.

Heres the trailer.

I am sure he would appreciate some feedback in the youtube comments section.

I just watched the trailer. Surely it’s a parody. Surley.

Parody isnt a concept much understood on LCF.
At least not the intentional sort.
They are generally limited to gay spoof sites.

A film that is part shocking documentary, part action thriller.

Now, there's a good combination. Do we get to decide which part is which?

Oh, and fire the lighting guy.

LOL! That looks hilarious! It completely plays in the paranoid fantasy most Truthers have that the government is watching them because they "know too much".

I've never seen that much bad acting outside of a porn film.

Er or so I've heard.

To pinpoint the just sheer crapness of this is hard. However there's a shot where are hero turns around and theres a revolver pointed at his head. The thing is it's a Medium wide shot so you see the revolver, before he does.

This shot breaks so many fundamental rules of storytelling (if you're going to shock your audience don't reveal the surprise before the hero finds out) never mind film making (this is a standard scene it is necessary to have a dramatic cut to create any tension) Frankly I've looped over this bit three times, and keep laughing and laughing. Our young director's knowledge of filmaking can be summed up in two words. One is a anglo saxon swear word for the act of cotius. The second one is the three letter word "all".

In the trailer there are quite a few scenes of (presumably) NWO agents shooting the truth seekers, men in black on their trail, etc.

I'm just wondering why none of this has actually happened?

Do these people think The X-Files was a series of documentaries?

Oh boy.

You know, in the 70's, Speilberg, Lucus, Coppola and friends would sit around and have dinner whilst discussing each others movies in an Italian resturant.

Slowly, Avery's dreams of sitting around with the same sort of people is failing. Smith humiliated him, Ebert called his film a piece of trash, and he is in the top 10 of google video with "Girl in shower: Sneak peek".

His reality is sitting around with people who make this abomination of fiction.

When is this out?

I've just watched it myself and I have to agree it's just awful, even if they describe it as a "...part campy action thriller."

I also find it hard to believe that the 'video generation' would be so ignorant of what is quite literally a cliche scene.

All that said, was it my imagination or did I see Alex Jones:jaw-dropp making a surprisingly calm cameo appearance?

I dunno, Aaron Russo, Richard Linklater and David Lynch seem to be buying his crap.

To be honest, I've never really seen Linklater say he buys into it, and who knows what Jones blows out of proportion. Linklater might just use him in his movies because of the way we see him.

David Lynch is one of the most overrated people on Earth.

Any luck in figuring out how yet?

And on a more serious note, has anyone managed to find out just who's in it, as I noted earlier I thought I could see Alex Jones, but was I correct in my identification?

This is just a 'bump' of the thread, but I am wondering if anyone has managed to identify the 'actors' in the trailer and tie them to particular truther groups.

I know I've mentioned it before but at 1min 38 seconds into the film what looks to be Alex Jones makes an appearance giving 'sage advice':

"No these people don't play fair, they're not going to go down without a fight.

This is then followed by a very fake fight scene.

If it's any help I'll post a picture of the person in question if someone can tell me how to do a screen-cap from video footage, all my attempts to do so to date have failed.

The trick on a PC is to turn off video hardware acceleration: Control Panel > Display > Settings > Advanced > Troubleshoot > set the Acceleration slider to "None", then PrtSc etc should work as normal. Don't forget to restore acceleration when you're done.

Thanks for that, I've managed to get a clear picture of whoever this is:

Alex Jones?

It's getting late where I am, but what I'll do is take screen-caps of the rest of the cast (where they are visible) and post them to this thread.

Any luck in figuring out how yet?

I think its just a matter of waiting till his immediate family and friends have clubbed together to purchase a shared copy.
After that, sales will nosedive and he will be forced to offer it for free.

And on a more serious note, has anyone managed to find out just who's in it, as I noted earlier I thought I could see Alex Jones, but was I correct in my identification?

I dont think thats him.
It could be his sister maybe.

Slight derail here, but is there anyone in the twoof movement that HASN'T made a video of some sort by now? I mean, is it some sort of requirement?

I just don't get it.

I should have known that something would turn up on Screw Loose Change (http://tinyurl.com/2c6wsa) about this, turns out that the film was shown in public on the 31st of June this year at a 'Radical' Film Night, held by the local chapter of the Wobblies.

They link to an article (http://tinyurl.com/287mtm) discussing the film. Interestingly it gives Sleepy2k16's real name(?) and also the names of two of the cast, needless to say one is his brother, as to the relationship of the other person named I have no idea.

I mentioned in my last post that I was going to try and get pictures of the 'actors' (and I use the term loosely) in this film.

I've done that and they are below, I'm referring to them as 'Mystery Men & Women'.

Four images were too dark to make out features so I've used Paint.net's "Auto-Level" ajustment on them.

To save bandwidth I've just linked to them just click on the name I've used to see them.

1. Our Hero (http://i113.photobucket.com/albums/n213/Bloodwyche/Mystery%20Men/OurHero.png)

2. Mystery Man Nș1 (http://i113.photobucket.com/albums/n213/Bloodwyche/Mystery%20Men/MysteryMan01.png)

3. Mystery Men Nș2 & Nș3 (http://i113.photobucket.com/albums/n213/Bloodwyche/Mystery%20Men/MysteryMen02and03.png)

4. Mystery Man Nș4 (http://i113.photobucket.com/albums/n213/Bloodwyche/Mystery%20Men/MysteryMan04.png)

5. Mystery Woman Nș1 (http://i113.photobucket.com/albums/n213/Bloodwyche/Mystery%20Men/MysteryWoman01a.png)

6. Mystery Woman Nș2 (http://i113.photobucket.com/albums/n213/Bloodwyche/Mystery%20Men/MysteryWoman02a.png)

One wonders just how many of these bozos have turned up at 911 Trooth rallies. Also it's interesting to note that the apparent Alex Jones figure is presented as a 'sage' in the trailer, it gives some idea just how distorted the believers views are of the real world.
