Someone has to do it.
Marijuana, or cannabis, remains the most commonly used drug in the world with almost 160 million people ages 15 to 64 using it in 2005....I would have guessed that coffee is the most used drug in the world. I was probably high at the time. :)

Maybe they counted coffee, chocolate, and tea separately?

I would have guessed alcohol. Not everyone can afford coffee, but anyone can ferment something to make alcohol.

The Canadians I know certainly confirm that. Biggest pot heads I ever met- and I went to art school.

I still say, find the country that eats the most taco shells and FunYun's and you'll have your winner.

With glowing joints
We get thee high
The True North's

From BC Bud to medicinal
We stain our gourd for thee
Gotta keep our stash

I'd have suspected either alcohol or nicotine too.

Found it. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hard_and_soft_drugs#Drugs_in_between_.22hard_drugs .22_and_.22soft_drugs.22)
From the article:
Caffeine, although legal and unregulated in nearly all jurisdictions, does have a mild addiction potential (both physical and psychological) that can lead to caffeinism (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Caffeine#Overuse). Its overdose potential is also higher than that of soft drugs, though nowhere near hard drugs. If used often, caffeine can also give rise to bodily stress, ulcers, and irregular heartbeat, which can sometimes lead to death, though more deaths occur from overdose. Despite this, caffeine is still safer than most hard drugs. Caffeine is the most widely used psychoactive drug in the world.

Nah ... In my place (quebec, that's east of canada) we got the best for munchies, that's poutine, fries, sauce plus cheese...
Also great after getting drunk, at 2-3 in the morning. Your liver my not survive that though :boggled: .
