I've never built a website before. All I want to do is set up a page so I can put some digi cam photos on it so I can post 'em on BB's. I'm trying to do it through Angelfire. But I've followed it's damn instructions, and it isn't working. Has anyone here had experience with setting up Angelfire web pages? Can they give me a step-by-step on setting up pics? That's all I want to do. Nothing else.
Here's what AF says to do:
Step 7a: Add Image URL #1
Use our library or your own file. To use your own file, upload the image to your directory, then enter the URL or filename here. For example, if you've uploaded a file named picture.gif, just enter picture.gif.
For images from out Image Gallery copy and past just the image URL into the field above. The URL starts with http://, then has other stuff, and ends with .GIF or .JPG
I've uploaded the images to my directory. Unless I'm mistaken, it should just be 'images'. I'm trying to create a new file called 'pics'. My web address is /films/starshark. The photos I'm trying to publish on the page are similar to: 100-0011_img.jpg
In the field provided in step 7a, I've tried a multitude of things and nothing works. So, like I say, does anyone know how to do it? Even if they just tell me a html way of doing it (I think it'll be easier than trying to use the 'user friendly' beginners method).
Any help appreciated.
