Is Ron Paul a Truther?

Just when I was starting to like the guy, I stumble across this on Myspace:

I was wondering why all the Truthers seemed to like him...

I was going to favor him over Mitt Romney, but if he's one of the moonbats, there's gonna be a bit of bias for me to overcome before I'll vote for him.

Ron Paul attracts all kinds of lunatics. He represents some tiny form of credibility to all the kooks. He has supplanted Pat Buchanan.

But, ultimately, they are libertarian lemmings, they work themselves up every election, thinking they are going to make a difference and that they are becoming relevant, then they fail to get one half of one percent in the final election results.

And the real nutty ones claim that they did so poorly because of A CONSPIRACY!:p

This stuff really turned me off of him too. A while back he appeared on the Alex Jones show (search youtube or google for it) to get Jones' endorsement and agree that there needed to be a new investigation. I was willing to give him the benefit of the doubt of just pandering to any audience that would support him, but if this story is true (might not be, it is from prison planet after all), then I have a hard time believing he's not a fair bit out of touch with reality.

If you've ever been on digg, the place is crawling with white supremacists and 911 truthers spamming Ron Paul stories. Were also a bunch of income tax deniers but they've died down after that Ed and Elaine Brown story did the same.

Ru paul is the republican Dennis Kucinich, with about the same chance of getting elected president.

Yes I would have to agree. The Truthers seem to love Ron Paul, I guess the GOP needs to have its official Woo candidate too.
