Given the close ties between the royal families of the UK and Norway, and the fact that princess Märtha Louise has spent quite a bit of time over in the UK (speaking to horses no doubt), she has probably already spent enough time around prince Charles for some of that woo-woo to rub off onto her. Hence no need to “arrange to meet”.

And regarding that final dig about the inbreeding: At least in this sense, the Norwegian royal family has been remarkably sensible: Our current queen (Märtha Louise's mother) was a commoner, as is the current crown princess.

Interesting, though, given that Norway has a state church in which the king is the head not only of the state but also of the church (if only in name), that a member of the royal family names her “institute” after the pre-Christian goddess Astarte. (Look her up on Wikipedia; I tried posting the URL, but it was disallowed (which seems to undermine the point of the web, but never mind).)

Is the Princess likely to inherit the throne? I recall some Christians in the UK being upset by Charles' multi-faith statements. One day he would be defender of the faith, but he seemed to want to defend all of them.

Hard to say if Charles put any ideas in her head - he's not known for talking to angels - plants, yes, but not angels - but the conversations they have could be great entertainment...

Here's the wikipedia link (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Astarte)for Astarte. You need 15 posts before you can include urls.

No, she is somewhat unlikely to inherit the throne. She is number four in line for it, behind her brother the crown prince and his two children.

We already have two threads about the incredible silliness that is Astarte and the "healing". Did you by any chance look up any Norwegian newspaper this week? I almost had to throw up when it said that Martha had "healed" Mette-Marit.

:randi: PLEASE DEBUNK THIS NONSENSE BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE.

She's also 65th in line for the English crown

Randi suggests someone should introduce her to Prince Charles. I'm quite sure they've met. They're even related, Märtha Louise's great-great-grandfather is Charles' great-grandfather.

The latest news in this case is that princess Märtha Louise has taken sick leave, allegedly due to the stress from the negative media attention. Funny; you'd have thought that angels would've been better at alleviating stress.

The joke just writes itself.
