This pc was given to me and I am unable to access anything on express5 because I don't have the password. Can I uninstall it and is there an Express6 to install in its place?

Yes, you CAN uninstall Outlook Express, and you SHOULD uninstall Outlook Express as fast as your little fingers can type.
OE is regarded (justifiably, IMHO) as the spawn of Santa due to the issues it creates with email viruses world-wide.
Get another DIFFERENT email client instead - Outlook 97/98/2000/2002, Communicator, Eudora, Mozilla, whatever, but DO NOT put OE back in production ever. You will not regret this change.

Or if you should choose to install this infernal program anyway, MSOE 6 is available for free from the windows site, isn't it?
I actually use the hellish thing, unless somoene knows of an email program that has that clever "combine and decode" feature that eliminates a lot of usenet headaches.
Make sure you've got good virus protection if you do.

Spawn of Santa?
I figured he would be too old to have kids.

If you run a newinstall it will usually delete old versions. :)

It's uninstalled via the Control Panel, Add/Remove Programs, Add/remove Windows components. or equivalent.
It's OK to just let sit there, just don't RUN the damn thing!
As for a replacement, it's a matter of taste and practicality, really. Myself, I use Outlook 2000 as it is most suitable for how I work. But I'm nowhere near religious enough to sneer at anything else!
