Judy Wood, Ph. D. — Perhaps the most qualified scientist studying 9/11 in the world

Or perhaps: The scientist whose qualifications come the closest to almost being in the vicinity of the topic she pretends to know about.

Professor James H. Fetzer — A former Marine Corps officer with a Ph.D. in the history and the philosophy of science, he has published 28 books, including, most recently, The 9/11 Conspiracy: The Scamming of America, with contributions from eleven experts on different aspects of the case. He is the founder of Scholars for 9/11 Truth (http://www.911scholars.org) and has appeared on Hannity and Colmes on FOX News and The O'Reilly Factor with Bill O'Reilly.

It's funny that they mention Fox news and the O'Reilly factor like it's an endorsement, They both hammered him.

"The 9/11 Conspiracy: The Scamming of America" is a perfect name for a truther book. The irony is amazing.

I haven't seen anything from this woo-a-thon. I thought that Ace was announcing the irrefutable proof.

Local media covered the event- I noticed in another thread that none of the denialists have said anything about how the conference went- but it looks like it didn't go well... I wonder why:

In a hushed meeting in the hallway, Von Kleist and another speaker, Doug Rokke, commiserated as the conference came to a close. "It's just counterproductive," said Von Kleist. "We've only added to the division this weekend."

Rokke, leaning in, expressed his sympathies. "I know what you mean," he said, "and as for the infiltrators, there isn't one." Glancing around, he continued, "There are two."

"I consider myself to be in the mold of Sherlock Holmes," Fetzer told the crowd. "When you've eliminated the impossible, whatever is left, no matter now improbable, is the truth."

My God... the sheer idiocy of the man is horrendous! To compare himself to a FICTIONAL character, albeit one written to be the smartest detective ever... *shakes head* The mind boggles, yet again.

Sabrina
7th August 2007, 01:06 PM
And then there's THIS little gem:

Bill Boshears, host of the radio program SciZone, explained to the crowd that the most important stories would not always make it to the mainstream media.

"I remember hearing some of my stories reported on TV for the first time," said Boshears. "It stopped me in my tracks, a little program called The X-Files.'"

A FICTIONAL program, no less!!

One has to start wondering if the twoofers can even discern the difference between fiction and reality... and come to the sinking realization they don't.

Actually, that makes perfect sense to me. His claims are fictional, too: he's not grounded in reality, he just wants to be the hero of an engaging- albeit entirely fictional- mystery story.

I think he shot himself in the foot with that comparison...

I guess Fetzer hasn't figured out how to eliminate the impossible.

I've heard David Ray Griffin use this exact same line.

Man, that article is just full of great lines...

Barrett, who no longer teaches the course, took the stage to try and express his concerns about the public image of the movement.

"I think we need to focus on conviviality in this movement," he declared. "We 're not the miserable paranoids people think."

.....
"It's just nice to come to something like this and reconfirm you're not the only one," said Rick Farlow of Columbus, Ohio. "We believe they are out to get us, I think that's the common denominator."

Yeah- their "common denominator" is that they are paranoid! What a great excuse to get together and tell everyone what they think...

When you've eliminated the impossible, whatever is left, no matter now improbable, is the truth.

This is actually quite an insight into how CT minds work. They declare the real story "impossible", conveniently eliminating what they don't want to believe. Whatever possibilities remain, however ridiculous they are, must be the truth.

Yes I would like to know as well. Despite his banning, I want to know how his "all 9/11 was CGI" talk went, and what new "gonna change the world" evidence he provided...lol

The problem is that there are a nearly infinite number of possiblities, thus the fact that no two troofers can agree on what happened that day.

Sounds like you miss Ace, are interested in what he has to say, and want him unbanned!

Come on... you can admit it; I promise I won't tell anyone...

"I think we need to focus on conviviality in this movement," he declared. "We 're not the miserable paranoids people think."

"If you are not aware that you're covering up for that traitor and mass murderer and yes insurance fraudster Silverstein, you'll figure it out when you're beside him on the scaffold. I'll be saving this email as evidence for your trial." – Kevin Barrett (http://forums.randi.org/showthread.php?t=71003), "Scholar For 9/11 Truth" and failed Muslim

If that's being convivial and non-paranoid, I'd hate to see him on an off day.

Oh Frank you are such a gas, so astute. Nothing passes you by.

Frank have you not got some peer reviewed papers to write? Why linger here and waste your precious time on the nasty Jrefers?

Come on you can admit it , I promise I won't tell anybody...

I don't want to see him back but I do want to see his mind blowing evidence. It's like a car accident, you just can't help but look.

With Ace it's more of a train wreck.

That’s partially true of me, as it happens. I certainly don’t want him unbanned, but I’d like to know roughly what he said. Ideally, I’d like to hear not that is went badly, per se, but far from well either – just that it was really very mediocre.

That would rather rely on Ace to accurately interpret the world around him. I wouldn’t say that’s particularly high on his list of talents.

Gee, Frank, maybe Ace isn't a kook! Maybe he's on to something really big. What do you think? (Yes, I understand very well that you--personally--have destroyed his nonsensical pseudo-science many, many times. But, then, there is very little that I understand about the persona you've chosen to adopt here.)

I thought we were talking about Ace and the fact that others... NOT I, want to know what he said at Madison..

Anyway, I have e-mailed the old kook and I will post his reply if he chooses to answer... or I wont post it if you prefer not to know..

Apollo has not adopted a persona. He is exercising something known as skepticism....a rare commodity on this board. You made a grave miscalculation when you assumed he would be a rabid JREF denier simply because he published some papers.

Feel free Frank, are you waiting for permission or can you do this all by yourself?

Let me know how you get on, ok?

Opps I see you already did, please indulge us all in your exchange; I am sure it will be fascinating.

I wouldn't have banned him. I wouldn't ban anyone who doesn't threaten physical violence.

Admittedly, it is boring to hear Ace endlessly recycle the same blunders he gets hammered for over and over. He really is ineducable and incredibly obtuse.

Hi, Rev. Your imaginary conspiracy is mathematically impossible, as I have demonstrated to you. Why don't you abandon your silly, baseless fantasies?

I know Dr. Greening quite a bit better than you do. I regard him as a friend who has been generous in sharing his knowledge with me, despite his cranky attitude here.

I take this to mean that the majority of the audience did not buy his 'pod' theory. Von Kleist is a huckster. If he had negative things to say, how bad was the actual conference?

I would very much support unbanning Ace; same for a great many of the previously banned. I think we don't have nearly enough no-planers, space-beamers, mini-nukers, psychics, timecubers, faith healers, ghost hunters, UFO abductees, ancient astronaut researchers, end-times doomsday cultists, cryptozoologists, Scientologists, nor victims of the international communist conspiracy to sap and impurify all off our precious bodily fluids.

Nobody here was calling for his banning. He did it to himself by not following the forum rules. I, for one, don't see what he did to warrant a banning, but that's not up to me...
