This neat little blog entry ("http://blog.wired.com/27bstroke6/2007/08/researchers-ana.html[/url) demonstrates a piece of software developed to highlight if a still image or piece of video footage has been composited.

In the examples given, the author of the program reveals that some Al-Qaeda propaganda videos were, unsurprisingly, filmed in front of screens only to have a different background added in later.

I wonder if Ace is brave enough to run the software on his pet stills? I'm sure a quick email to the programmer would give him some results for his "paper"...

Somehow I doubt he's brave enough, nor does he really care about "The Truth" - as these types of analysis will undoubtedly prove him wrong, he won't even try.

He has? Details, please.

Note: Never mind. I just found the announcement.

He has? Details, please.

The ban notice says rule 6 violation while he was on probation.

Post your favorite Ace memories here (http://forums.randi.org/showthread.php?t=89339).

The link to the Wired blog article in the OP is bad.

Here's one that works (http://blog.wired.com/27bstroke6/2007/08/researchers-ana.html)
