A friend of a friend espouses a conspiracy of which I only have vague details but it sounds hilarious.

The only things I know about it are that the banks are about to crash (possibly deliberately), and this person is advising that the way to protect yourself is to amass lots of quarters (US $0.25 for you non-Americans).

Anyone heard of this one and know more about it?

I've heard the same from someone who thinks that the "new" quarters are mostly pure silver. It seems that this, 9/11 and Katrina, are a scam to return to a gold/silver standard that the rich are trying to do, yet they've failed because the new quarters are too shiny.
