View Full Version : Happy Mars Day

Paul Bethke
28th August 2003, 01:41 AM
This is a good day for blinding –9:30 PM Eastern Time Thursday is the set time.
I hope everyone is ready?

The effect of going blind will not cause any pain—and I advise people not to panic.
In the event of anyone driving a car or any other vehicle—just pull over to the side as your eyes begin to mist up. Then of coarse you must put your hazard lights on.

Explaining your situation to a police officer could be difficult—but in time they will believe you when everyone else is found.

All people on the LIST can PM me and I will contact you in due time.
Afterwards we can discuss the idiotic beliefs of Athiests.

Regards
Paul

Ugh, I can't believe I'm doing this... but I'm not sure I'm on the list despite asking to be so last year. If not, can you add me to it and pencil me in.

Thanking you in advance,

Phew! Thanks for the warning, Paul. I was all ready to panic.

Hi Paul,

Do you have the strength of your convictions yet? How about our little wager?

Let me remind you. We both send $1,000 to Linda. If the blinding happens on the agreed day my $1,000 goes to a charity of your choice, and you get your cash back. If the blinding does not happen your cash goes to the JREF and I get my cash back.

How about it?

Edited to add 'on the agreed day'

Place your bets....

Shall we have a competition to guess the excuse?

Is this guy for real? I've seen some references to him but haven't seen any posts. He really thinks he can blind people with the power of god?

Is it too late to be on the list? I wanna be part of this historical event too!

Yup. He even tells us the exact date and time of the blindings. I think some six dates have come and gone so far.

Watch out for a few posts full of biblical quotations. He may be not be very good at predicting mass blindings, but he's great at cut and paste.

Ah - he did spell that wrong. Maybe he isn't going to blind us at 9:30 after all, maybe his going to bind us. Beware of large deliveries of cheese this evening. :)

What is a $1,000 when I will be getting $1million?

Paul, we all know you cannot be trusted with a wager. You're dishonest. Observe:

If Randi and co. are blind by the end of February 28th I'll devote my life to Christ.
If Randi and co. are not blind by the end of February 28th you'll leave this forum and never post here again.
Do we have a deal, or is your faith waning?

OK I Paul Bethke agree to the above

Okay Paul, you weasled out of our bet. You're posting after you promised not to. Care to try again? I'll keep the language more specific this time to avoid confusion.

If Randi and co. are blind by 9:30 PM Eastern Standard Time on March 7th, 2002, I'll devote my life to Christ.

If Randi and co. are not blind by 9:30 PM Eastern Standard Time on March 7th, 2002, you leave these forums and never post here ever again.

The wager is not dependant on you watching tonight's broadcast. When the time passes, Randi and co. are either blind or they're not. You will not offer any excuses. If they're blind, I devote my life to Christ and if they're not you leave and never return. Not for a farewell post, not for another "date," not for anything. Is this clear enough?

Surely you have enough faith for this simple wager.

You then accepted this second wager here:

We do sometimes give indirect replies---BUT the intention is not to deceive but to delay.
Not everything works out as planned—Never the less we do keep our word to carry out what is predicted.

In the light of such an achievement as this, I feel justified in changing my mind.

The delay of Jesus returning to this earth as predicted has been retarded by mans activity---BUT if we fail we try again and again and again until we have succeed.

This time the follow up will be far greater than last intended.

Cheers
Paul

Paul, try and follow along, okay?

You made a promise. You welched on your promise. Therefore, you are a liar and not to be trusted.

Why should anyone here care anything about what you have to say?

I want on this list. Blind me too. I'll be sitting on my couch in Golden Valley, Minnesota watching cartoons at 9:30PM Eastern. If I can't see Dexter anymore, I'll have my wife dictate a response on this thread saying I'm blind.

So God's plan doesn't always work?
Who's we and why are you all carrying out a "prediction"? One carries out an order, while one observes a prediction.

How can man's activity (of free will) retard a prediction by God? Isn't God infallible? If so, how did God make a wrong prediction? Wouldn't God have known of man's "retarding" activity, and thus predicted correctly?

You have 2 choices:
1.) You’re telling the truth, but God is fallible.
2.) God is infallible, but you’re lying.

Which is it?

Well according to you I am a liar---I said if Randi & Co were not blinded at a certain date I would never Post here Again---Well that is what I said ---BUT I have changed my mind—Is that so terrible?

When what I predict comes true people will listen to what I have to say---UNTIL then----I will just waffle on UNTIL!

Now I do admit that you are a thinking person to have made the above statement.

The first thing that is necessary to answer what you have stated is to have first hand knowledge of how GOD reacts and responds.

Secondly which God are we talking about?

I am talking about the GOD of Israel who revealed Himself through the Bible the sixty-six books of Scripture.

GOD as He has revealed Himself is perfect in His ways---
BUT man has the ability to ignore what GOD requires---For example GOD gave us His Commands and told us to obey them—

BUT as you know these Commands are ignored.
There fore GOD CAN NOT force man to keep these Commands-----Does that make GOD fallible?

By keeping the Commands of GOD a person qualifies to live in His Presence.
By ignoring His Command one chooses to go to HELL.

So the choice is mans---If he chooses to obey or disobey, GOD cannot be held responsible for this---Although GOD has done everything that can be done to prevent man from going to HELL

Throughout Scripture it can be seen how man retards the plans of GOD---BUT eventually GOD finds a man to fulfil His purpose regardless.

The purpose of my prediction is to bring mans attention to the Scriptures to show him what must still take place.

Keep well
Paul
