Gentlemen, Ladies,

I read a lot of "what will it take for you to believe in.....". I state that I, currently a skeptic, will become a believer if any psychic or RVer scores more than 50 points in the following...

I shall shortly be going on holiday. Please tell me, either by PM or here in the forum:

- Departure date (10 pts)
- Return date (10 pts)
- Airline(s) and flight number(s) (5 pts each)
- Model of hire car (manufacturer, model and trim level) (20 pts)
- Colour or hire car (5 pts)
- Total mileage covered in hire car during the holiday (20 pts)
- Currently scheduled stop off points (10 per location)
- Brand of first beer consumed during holiday (10 pts)

The above is a combination of things already booked and wrtten down (for you RVers) and things in the future (for you psychics).

And you get 10 bonus points if you can describe the object sitting on top of my monitor.

I see something to do with magic, can't quite make it out, could be a wand or something like that or it could a hat or a rabbit or a cabinet for sawing a lady in two, but definitely something to do with magic, or something else that interests you or someone in your family like a photograph or soft toy.

The challenge is now closed:

Well it looks like I will have to remain a sceptic. None of the answers were anywhere near close, though clearly I won't know many of them until I get back.

For the record, the expectation is as follows:

- Departure date 11 September 2003
- Return date 24 October 2003 (that's right, six weeks!!)
- Airline(s) and flight number(s) United xxx, xxx (does anyone know if they're still in business ?)
- Model of hire car dunno, guess I'll find out on the 11th
- Colour or hire car dunno, guess I'll find out on the 11th
- Total mileage covered in hire car during the holiday planning at least 4,000
- Currently scheduled stop off points too many to list, doing a grand tour of the SE U.S.A
- Brand of first beer consumed during holiday dunno, guess I'll find out on the 11th

Hey, you should know we true RV'ers only reveal our successes ex post facto. For the record, I got all the RV stuff correct, plus, I knew United was still in business.

Here's what I predicted:

- Departure date: 11 September 2003
- Return date: 24 October 2003
- Airline(s) and flight number(s): United xxx, xxx
- Model of hire car: You don't know yet and I don't claim to be a psychic
- Colour or hire car: You don't know yet
- Total mileage covered in hire car during the holiday: at least 4,000
- Currently scheduled stop off points: too many to list, doing a grand tour of the SE U.S.A
- Brand of first beer consumed during holiday: You don't know yet.

I get a prize, right?
