Bergen newspaper calls on Norwegian princess to renounce title/place in line for throne due to her involvement with spiritual healing and her conversations with angles.
Ok, she's a freaking princess. This kind of silliness goes with the genetic territory...just look at her Cousin, Prince Charles. She might be nuts but is her interest in newage any more nuts than the concept of hereditary royalty?

In a word, yes.
Not sure, though, whether it is more nuts than saying 'This kind of silliness goes with the genetic territory...'

Much can be said of the Norwegian royalty, but inbreeding isn't one of them.
The princess is related to the British Prince Charles, yes, but distantly. Märtha Louise's great-great-grandfather is Charles' great-grandfather.

New age is just as stupid as the bizarre institution of modern monarchy but I wouldn't want any leader of my country doing this stuff.
If I was Norwegian, I'd be highly embarrassed, even if the monarchy meant nothing to me.

It was intended as a Joke...but the Danes -- from whom the Norweagian royal family decended -- was known to have a nutter or two in the pack.
Christian VII comes to mind (I think that the number) though, admittedly, that was in the mid to late 18th Century.

Are any of the European royal families not 'descended from each other'?

To be fair to the crown-headed inbreds, I'm pretty sure every family tree has a nutter or two in it.
And I'm not sure if modern monarchies make a whole lot less sense than inheritance in general. Sure, I don't understand why Charlie should be the next King of England, but I don't understand why Paris Hilton should be filthy rich either.

The call has veracity only to the extent that the angles are acute, right or obtuse.

There's a big difference. You can give your own money to whomever you please. Authority over a country, now...that's not an inheritable commodity. Holding an office is not a personal possession and even if it were, it's not yours to give.
Good thing the closest thing we have to a royal kook holding fake authority is the honorary mayor of Hollywood. :D
