Interesting. I just wondered Robert, how many emails or messages you have had from disgruntled members (whether they be former or current) of her organisation ?

Oh, I don't have time to read all of that stuff. SYLVIA BROWNE ROCKS!
(Sylvia Browne sucks.)
Just thought you might want to post a summary at the top of each article for the ignoscenti that can't be bothered to read more than one paragraph.

Keep up the good work Robert ...
Shame there isn't more information (such as a name) available to follow up on this bit:
"There was one young attendee who stated that she had the money to build a church. As I understand it she moved to Campbell shortly after the training and spent a lot of time working closely with Sylvia and the staff, but then she was gone by Ordination with no official explanation.".
Of course it may be pure coincidence that this attendee was brought into the inner fold so quickly after showing herself to be both money-laden and eager in front of the claw fingered chief scammer - but I doubt it.
It would be interesting to find out the subsequent history of that attendee ...

Sorry Robert, I get on my hobby horse. When I read something I want to know what are the qualifications and experience of the person who writes it? He said he is a former minister. But when and for how long? Any other relevant experiences? I would have liked to read a paragraph or so about the author. That is missing.
I do note that the incident mentioned about the gifts does have a time and place so that it can be verified as happening. The fact that it can be verified means that it probably is true as stated. However was this an isolated incident or did he witness other incidents? Details? If he had been a minister for several years he should know about these things.
Edit - I think this e-mail is worth following up. You could be onto something BIG.

This is not an isolated incident.
There are numerous current and ex NS people out there that can attest to the validity of this persons, in fact this group of prospective ministers, experience.
There is also a history of SB and NS of finding those who have money, drawing them in, getting money from them, and then dropping them as soon as they have said money.
Without mentioning names, there was a person who had received a large settlement or annuity, and SB and NS drew this person in, got the first installment of the large payment, then dropped that person, who is no longer affilitated with NS or SB.
This has happened many times, and NS likes to go after those they perceive as having money, and then SB tells them "You are going to be one of my ministers", thus drawing them in further.
It is a con game, and they have been perfecting it for over 21 years, far longer when you factor in the Nirvana Foundation, which got money from lying to investors in a mining scheme.
SB and NS remind me of the Alien machines in the movie "War of the Worlds"; they pick up people, drain the blood (money) from them, use it to fertilize their own financial growth, and then throw the bodies away.
Great journalistic work yet again Robert.

Interesting. I just wondered Robert, how many emails or messages you have had from disgruntled members (whether they be former or current) of her organisation ?Well, since I have a regular, ongoing correspondence with many of them, I would think that the number of emails and messages would be in the hundreds.
Just thought you might want to post a summary at the top of each article for the ignoscenti that can't be bothered to read more than one paragraph. Thanks for the suggestion, alfa. Yes, this email was longer than most that I've put up on the site. But I think that the title, subtitle and quote at the top of the article summed up the article just fine for those unwilling or unable to read the entire thing.
Keep up the good work Robert ... Thanks, kieran!

But when and for how long? Any other relevant experiences? I would have liked to read a paragraph or so about the author. That is missing.I understand. But giving more information about this person would help Browne and her staff to identify the author. The author has no desire to be the focus of the harassment, and they are know for doing so.
Edit - I think this e-mail is worth following up. You could be onto something BIG.Agreed.
Great journalistic work yet again Robert. Thanks, PBF! But the credit goes to the ex-minister. All I did was give him/her a forum.

That was so sad to read. I'm also a little sad that I am not in the least surprised. What must it be like to have no conscience at all and not even a modicum of civility towards others especially when they are just trying to show their apprecition?
I'm glad that ex-minister sent that letter. What yet another eye-opener it is.

The density of people unable to think is just enormous--sort of neuton star of stupidity. All these people wasting their money on SB and her staff. What will open their eyes? SB's staff may not believe in her, but they are still making money...certainly no motivation for them to stop.

It's off-topic, but I just thought I'd mention that Sylvia Browne's FBI buddy Ted Gunderson pops up in The Terror Conspiracy: Deception, 9/11 And The Loss of Liberty, the latest book by Jim Marrs, author of Crossfire (the basis for Oliver Stone's JFK), and Alien Agenda: Investigating the Extraterrestrial Presence Among Us.
In the book, which alleges that the U.S. government was complicit in 9/11, Gunderson is the source for an account of a meeting between Osama Bin Laden and U.S. government officials in 1986. Even Marrs, who believes in all kinds of wacky things, and is known for relying on dubious sources, admits that "Gunderson's credibility is questionable." (pg. 103)

It just amazes me how SB's followers can bring her gifts and worship her as some type of demigod only to be treated poorly. I am truly curious if SB's staff actually do believe that she has psychic abilities or are they just going along with ride--for the money. Do they start out as believers and then realize she is cold reading or are they unfailing pilgrims. It seems very few employees speak out against her which also could mean they sign nondisclosure agreements upon employment. Too follow someone so blindly creeps me out.

Those that work in her office know exactly what she is, and somewhere on the forums here it was mentioned about a minister who, upon realizing that SB was a fraud, was told by members of the Board that "We thought you already knew that".
Her staff members are in a position that, should they publicly state what they know, they are the ones who could be prosecuted for misdeeds, not SB herself.
Her staff members are treated worse than she treats her dogs, and as one of her very close employees stated, "I do this for the money".
Sure, some may have been believers in her and her message at first, but once you get close to SB, then the lens in your rose colored glasses fall out.

It amazes me too HM and I was very involved with the Canadian organization. We didn't have direct contact with Sylvia so I don't know whether the believers up here would have behaved similarly, but I suppose it's likely.
When it comes to the staff I think it's probably a mixed bag; some believe, some are just along for the ride, and the rest are somewhere in the middle. I wouldn't know about the NDA's but I do know now that I followed blindly for too long. I've learned some powerful lessons - the hard way.
One cool thing that came out of it is that I found this forum. Thanks to all of the members who's posts have helped me to see things in a different light.:o

I was there and I saw it, in fact the scarf that was worn by Linda was made by a friend of mine who wanted Sylvia to have it as a token of appreciation. My friend was quite hurt by that incident.

What amazes me about Sylvia brown, is the fact she is just such a horribly rude, curt, disrespectful, terribly mannered person.
You can see the look of mockery and superiority in her eyes when she speaks to the people she is exploiting.
Even if i didnt know she was a fraud, preying on the venerable, i would still think she was a horrible person just from the way she conducts herself.
It is a wonder to me that her followers are not able to see through her false act of caring.

Welcome Ian...good to have you here.
sidebar: If you can, try to make it to TAM in the future, you get to meet some great people (like Robert).
With y'all confirming stuff for me, I want to hork:gasp: . When I was teaching last year, I used Stopsylviabrownel.com in class to discredit her and her ilk. Every year I have students that will indicate: "I don't care what you say, I still believe."
