Tibet’s living Buddhas have been banned from reincarnation without permission from China’s atheist leaders. The ban is included in new rules intended to assert Beijing’s authority over Tibet’s restive and deeply Buddhist people.

“The so-called reincarnated living Buddha without government approval is illegal and invalid,” according to the order, which comes into effect on September 1.

The 14-part regulation issued by the State Administration for Religious Affairs is aimed at limiting the influence of Tibet’s exiled god-king, the Dalai Lama, and at preventing the re-incarnation of the 72-year-old monk without approval from Beijing.

Hahahaha. Hahaha. Haha. Hah.

No, seriously. I realize this is probably about "managing" the Tibetans under Chinese control. Either China has grown a sense of humor (not likely), or this is an example of what happens when you've got the enormous bureaucracy and rights-trampling required to maintain a communist state.

Either way; haha.

Thats unbelievable. What are the Chinise gonna do if the Tibetans reincarnate without asking for permission.Oh and how are they gonna police this law.Are they gonna send law-enforcers into the after life to make arrests. This is just too funny but I am sure the Tibetians are just feeling more oppressive by them.

I recall seeing a cartoon with a bible-carrying fundie confronting a fish with legs emerging from the sea. "Back, back!" he cries....

Can we see a commissar doing the same thing as the baby emerges from the womb?
