I wa recently checking up on ol Crazy D. James Kennedy and he's beating the ol darwin drun agian. There was on his weekly tv show braggin about some guy in Louisianna who spent $6,000 of his money to get that blatant propoganda shown on tv unedited. Then they showed a judge who was bragging about how there' stunning quote "Young Earth" research being done. Seriously? But this is science right? Then the guy who introduced it said that the "hoax of darwinism must be exposed." The part that scared me was that people are distributing this crap and believing it.

Which "blatant propaganda" program was being paid to be shown on TV unedited, here? I'm afraid I've never heard of Crazy D. James Kennedy.

You know how you can tell you're too old for the Internet? When people post "Darwin's Deadly Legacy 2: Attack of the Clones", and you get a little bit miffed that they didn't post "Darwin's Deadly Legacy 2: Electric Boogaloo" instead...

I must protest that title!

If you read of the threads featuring DOC, you'll hear about nothing BUT Crazy Dr. James Kennedy.

Pharyngula has a blog critique on the first one. (http://scienceblogs.com/pharyngula/2006/08/darwins_deadly_legacy_what_tri.php)In a show purportedly about science, how desperate do you have to be to give Ann Coulter that much face time? Triple points for irony, though, when Coulter calls Eugenie Scott a "hack."

I don't see why they do this, it's so easy to prove that they're lying, plus it gives us a great chance to prove that Hitler was a die-hard creationist without it being just an ad hominem attack.

Crazy isn't in his birth certificate. It was a title he earned.

You can actually watch part of Darwin's Deadly Legacy, though I cannot be held responsible if you punch yourself for doing so or your monitor for broadcasting such stupidity.

You know what's great? Seeing the Liars for Jesus in action, proving that religion is a breeding ground for corruption, not a shelter from it.

If you watched the repeat segment which was them bragging about the proliferation of this movie and how many people are seeing it. There's the accusation that "militant secularists attacked the program before it aired."
I just find it really depressing that this blatant propoganda is being reaired and distributed such as it is. People already know very little about evolution as it is without stuff like this making it worse.

When I was at TAM1 Randi noted that just a few miles from where we were meeting Kennedy had 15,000ish people listening to him spew his BS. I realize some people like Joe and others think I'm an apologist since I'm not anti-religion, but I'm more concerned about people like Kennedy who have an immediate detrimental effect on our society and they are who I chose to spend my time fighting. Kennedy must be stopped before he can "reclaim" our society for the Dark Ages.
I quoted Joe's comment because it reminded me of a thought I had earlier today - I never thought anyone could be even more smugly sure of the "truth" of the b******* they were shoveling into peoples heads than Kent Hovind, but D. James Kennedy, especially if you watch his EVILution presentations/sermons somehow surmounts Kent's pathetic spectacle.
I've seen players chatting up women who were less sure of themselves than Kennedy when he talks about evolution.
