I'm going to have to say the rash of amateur attempts to model the towers and their collapse from things like chicken wire, paper tubes, office trays, and other random things found around the house are the ones that amuse and baffle me the most. If it was just spooked911 doing it, it would be funny, but that there are so many truthers doing it just boggles my mind.
Close runner-up in the goofiness stakes would be Dr. Judy Wood's invention of wacky terminology for everything (wheatchex, alka-seltzer, cheetos, lather, pooching out)...
What do you guys vote for?

The way they endlessly repeat the same exact arguments when those arguments have just been ripped to shreds.

Hehehe, that's why in my conspiracy days my favorite was William Cooper. He used to accuse every single UFO/JFK/NWO conspiracy theorist besides him of being in on it. :D

God,yes Bill Cooper was always good for a laugh.
Too bad he went berserk a,drew a gun on a Arizona State Patrolman back in 2001 lost the ensuing shooting match and missed out on the whole Truther Movement.
His feuds with David Icke were legendary as both fought to be the Guru of the "Aliens are behind everything" school of thought.
BTW the description of his death currently on Wikipedia ---which all but states in so many words that Cooper was assisanited by agents of the New World Order.is total crap written by an "anoynymous" source, and still another reason for taking anything on Wikipedia with a Ton Of Salt.

Pffft, UFOlogist is such an insult to who William Cooper was.
I mean, he's the guy who proved THE LIMO DRIVER SHOT KENNEDY!!* Not to mention the guy who proved the Protocols of the Elders of Zion was true except the parts about Jews which was disinfomation to hide the fact they meant "Illuminati."
UFOlogist? Just because he was on the Navy ship where mile-long UFOs rose out of the water in front of the whole crew? Pshaw I say! http://www.lethalwrestling.com/upload/colbert.gif
*This led to the great Bill Hicks bit. "It makes sense when you think about it, because who ever looks at the limo driver when they see the Zapruder film? We're all looking at the same thing... Jackie's ass as she jumps into the back seat."

Cooper is one of only two people (and while the other is based on the founder, the Raelians are bigger than one nut) to warrant an entire chapter in Feral House's classic Kooks (http://www.amazon.com/Kooks-Guide-Outer-Limits-Belief/dp/0922915679/ref=sr_1_16/002-3298003-4568845?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1188350952&sr=8-16).
Man I miss him SOOOO MUCH!! As mentioned earlier, the twoof movement would have been so much more entertaining if he'd been a part of it. :(

I have to agree with the silly models. There was one guy who made a video using Diet Coke cans. He asked for others to submit their models of the twin towers. But no mathematical or FEA models were allowed because they can't accurately depict what will happen as well as a real physical model. Clearly, his science education stopped somewhere in grade school.

Hmm, don't recall that one, though it wouldn't surprise me. But I would love to know what this guy (http://www.captainsherlock.com/videopreviews.html) is on about. Check out his video attempt (http://www.captainsherlock.com/OneMinute.html) to explain his theory in one minute, followed by inexplicable footage of women walking around slowly while holding toy planes.

he probably could drop his explanation to 30 seconds if he actually wrote a script for himself and didnt pause and say "umm" so much

i think the craziest thing is when they claim to have a better understanding of Physics, Architecture, Engineering, Demolition, various other professions then the people that have spent thier lives learning the field of study. All because they saw it on YouTube...

The goofiest thing is, that when they claim they are looking for answers, they do not accept them when they are given to them. Another thing is, they look at footage just trying to find discrepancies and anomalies, that they could fit into their conspiracy theory. I can already see, how excited the Loose Change crew are of their NORAD tapes, listening them over and over, trying to find any signs of a stand down. They go through testimonies trying to find any signs of demolition. They go through evidence trying to make them fit a conspiracy. They never accept, that ok, this is how it was, I will not try to find any new conspiracies.

It's probably the idea that some nebulous evil entity puts together an elaborate plan and then executes it to a perfection -- except that they leave behind telltale signs that you can see on national TV, and only a few people notice.

I was going to point out something but then I remembered that Conspiracy Theorists don't have rectums...... .... or is it brains? They seem to exchange the functions of those two areas so frequently it gets hard to tell.

Killtown, of course, is off on his own planet. Remember the 9/11/01 is 10/11/06 rotated 180 degrees (because the Yankee pitcher crashed his plane into a building in New York on 10/11/06)? Or the numbers 9 and 11 that he found in the smoke and the fireball?

Oooh, somebody got out of bed on the Grumpy Side!
Seriously, DR, a lot of the behaviour that Twoofers exhibit is consistent with that of other CT believers, such as the Holocaust deniers, or the Apollo = hoax proponents. Shoddy research, quote-mining, photo manipulation, avoiding any quote of a definitive train of events, stooopid modelling, outright lying, denying that they've ever lied - present in all three CTs.
Personally, I would say the kookiest thing they do is contort reality into a Moebius strip to make it conform to their conclusion; a conclusion they arrived at to begin with.
