Most of it is in italics. You probably need to correct that.

Somebody described one of the troofers on the conspiracy forum as a "...lying liar, who lies....'.
It always makes me laugh. So i'm shamelesssly stealing it and applying it to Sylvia.
Sylvia Browne is a lying liar, who tells lies.
Once again, excellent work Robert.

I cannot find any links from your site to this forum. I think there should be one. The closest is to Swift. It would be great if one of the links at the bottom of the articles was to each thread.

Apathetic, pulling answers out of her a%^, bingo. At least this woman saw the truth at last. Do you think your success rate has surpassed Browne's?

Somebody described one of the troofers on the conspiracy forum as a "...lying liar, who lies....'.Sounds like someone has read this book (http://www.amazon.com/Lies-Lying-Liars-Tell-Them/dp/B000OFOIY0/ref=pd_bbs_sr_3/102-6952456-0627337?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1189447837&sr=8-3)...
It always makes me laugh. So i'm shamelesssly stealing it and applying it to Sylvia. Fitting!
Once again, excellent work Robert. Thanks, Phil!
It would be great if one of the links at the bottom of the articles was to each thread.I considered doing that at one time, rjh, but decided against it. I'll think about adding a link to the forum from the site's Links page.
Once again Robert, excellent work! Thanks, Grayman!

Youch.Yeah, she was (and is) smarting.
Apathetic, pulling answers out of her a%^, bingo. At least this woman saw the truth at last. Do you think your success rate has surpassed Browne's?I calculate it at 88%. ;)

Robert,
In your article at the top, you state:
I recently received an email which I found to be another good example of how tragic circumstances can make a person a prime target for Sylvia Browne's nonsense.
Further down you write:
(Note: I generally try to stick to facts in my articles, and when I express an opinion, I try to clearly label it as such. This section of the article falls squarely into the opinion category.)
It sounds to me as though the wording such as "Sylvia Browne's nonsense" is somewhat confrontational and doesn't appear to be as objective as it could be, particularly if the article were read in isolation of other evidence presented in other articles, as it might be by someone new to the site and reading the articles in the order presented on the page rather than in chronological order. Such a person might very well read a sentence like the one above and assume that you have an agenda to take down Sylvia Browne and quickly dismiss the entire site as biased opinion.
Whereas your earlier articles seemed to take on an intentionally unbiased and completely neutral "just the facts" tone (simply listing facts with some clearly marked opinion drawn from those facts), it's possible that the more confrontational tone of more recent articles might backfire to your intended audience.

I really enjoyed the article. Pretty powerful; the points you make are excellent.
If this person is so angry at simply being lied to and exploited without bigger consequences than having read a crappy book, I wonder how angry parents of missing children must be.
So I'm guessing she cancelled her phone appointment?

I agree. I think your personal feelings should stay out of this website if you want believers to continue reading. You could've put the email up to more or less speak for itself. I do think the email is important. (I also think your opinions are important, but not to the site.)

I do, for the record, believe in psychics, and believe powers like this really exist. I've experienced it myself to an extent. But I also believe the people who truly possess them would not be exploiting them for ludicrous amounts of money.
I'm intrigued by this last paragraph; it seems to undermine everything else she says...

Robert,
Love your site and the extensive work you do. I was looking at this article and wondered if it and other genuine correspondence of this nature could go in a "testimonials" or "letters" section.
It would be interesting to see the real affect you are having on people in their own words and it would allow you to keep "articles" focused on evidence for for(;)) or against the Clawed One's claims.

Alot of people who believe in the paranormal will admit there are "frauds out there". I think even Sylvia Browne has said that on several occassions.
The "so what if she's a fraud, she's helping people" is a comment I hear all the time about mediums and others. It's incredible how short sighted people can be.

I'm intrigued by this last paragraph; it seems to undermine everything else she says...She has come to the conclusion that Browne is a fraud, but that does not mean that she has decided that ALL psychics are frauds. But I think it quite likey
ly that the next time she sees one on television (or anywhere) she will be more skeptical of them than she would have been otherwise.
Love your site and the extensive work you do.Thanks, Geckko!
