Thanks. Amusing stuff. I especially enjoyed the winning projects for the science fair with titles like "Using Prayer To Microevolve Latent Antibiotic Resistance In Bacteria" and "Thermodynamics Of Hell Fire".

Well, this should soothe your gastrointestinal tract:

It's been determined to be likely a joke.

This one comes up a lot. Maybe we should talk to Hal about making a sticky thread with some FAQ's...

This must be the sixth thread that I have seen on this site in the last 6-7 months.
Can someone put up a sticky post or something saying "this is a hoax" before we have another couple dozen threads with people continuing to write a few hundred variations of:
(1) Boy fundamentalists are dumb!
(2) Just look at how dumb they are!
(3) It's a parody site??!
(4) Well, no one can blame us -- because they're so dumb, it sure LOOKED real!
Granted, fundamentalists set my teeth on edge.
Granted, there may well be sites that are this bad or worse. I mean, $cientology has supporters too, for Ed's sake.
BUT: The more I see people going on and on about this site and then find out its a parody, the more I start asking whether ALL of the evidence for how stupid fundies are is based on other parodies out there. I don't want to give up my feeling of superiority over fundamentalism -- so just STOP now, so I don't have to have these thoughts. Your cooperation is appreciated.

well, i ejoyed it, but apperently you've aannoyed some of the more frequent posters by bringing up something that's been mentioned before, repeatedly.
seems to happen from time to time on most every bb i visit

Well, I've read ALL the threads on this topic, and no one has mentioned that there are others who are on the same wavelength. A link at the bottom of the page sends you to the Adventure Safaris science fair page, which looks fairly legit until you go to the 114 ideas for science fair projects (http://tccsa.tc/adventure/fair_ideas.html).
Along with straightforward ideas like:
25. Does weather affect attitudes?
or
32. Why do we hiccup?
we find such wonderful ideas as
3. Make a computer model of the Flood currents.
6. Build and run studies on a strata forming wave tank. This would confirm or disprove strata are all laid down at the same time.
They've got a serious sadistic streak, however:
8. How much voltage or current can a human take before he is killed? Could do experiments on a plant.
14. Can salt water and fresh water fish live in the same water or not?
15. How long can flies survive freezing in a frig?
53. Were all the animals friendly to man before the Flood? Idea: raise several baby animals like snake and mouse together to see if they remain friends as they are older.
69. Why do cats always land on there feet when they fall? Do other animals do this?
70. How do mice react after 24 hours of confinement? What about other animals?
99. Does a mare in foal become more ornery than one not?
