At least according to this poster, who apparently has sent some e-mail to Mark.

The e-mail aside, what is most interesting is the dollar figure.
It's great, if they donate that kind of sum to the first responders. It's for a good cause. The size of the sum was also about what we expected it to be.
$10.000/$20 per ticket = 500 tickets sold altogether for their three day event. Not the half a million dollars (thousands of tickets sold) they were expecting to collect from ticket sales alone. It shows beyond a doubt, that their movement is really small and they really overestimated their popularity.
But any sum is good for a good cause. Thanks for collecting and donating this amount to the first responders.

Dylan's quote is tellng:
The movement has given more and done more for the first responders than the "debunkers" ever will.
It's an absolutely valid point. This was a benefit event for SICK AND DYING PEOPLE and these people can't even chip in and show up. They get to help first responders AND confront us. You'd think they'd jump all over that opportunity...
Uh dylan, you made a promise that you'd be donating more money than those who produced Word Trade Center and United 93 did. So please provide proof that you at least donated $10 million to a fundraiser.
You say that we are not donating, but look at you, rather than ASK us, you just make a wild accusation that we dont.
I've donated to whatever fundraiser I could, up to $4000 in the last 5 years.
So where is your $10,000,000.01 donation?

Damn European comma-point swtich.
I was expecting this to be a joke, and a donation of $10 for the punchline.
I laughed hard for nothing.
You owe me a gut-buster!

Damn. I normally use nothing at all, and sometimes commas. But all the Americans seem to want to use points (or was it commas)
I'm confused. I will not use commas nor points from this post on. Just plain 10 000 :p

The troofers gave 10,000 dollars to people who hate them?
They must get a kick out of abuse.

I would venture a guess that if you added up the total dollar amount the posters here have donated to 9/11 charities, it would far exceed $10,000.
So go suck an egg, Dylan.

Since at least some debunkers are first responders, surely they have done more than the truthers ever could?

Are you sure you understood that correctly? It doesn't sound remotely possible that anyone, even the fantasist truthers, could think that.

It's what I read too. $500,000 was the event target, and $100,000 was the ChipIn target. They weren't clear about whether the $500K included the $100K. The ChipIn is now extended to the end of the year.

I'm very sure. It is clearly printed in their mission statement:
http://www.wearechange.org/91107/mission/
At $20 per ticket, per day for admission to the 8-hour event, our goal is to collect a minimum of half a million dollars for 9/11 first responders by ticket admission alone.
They sure thought of that.

Why yes, yes it is. I don't know why I doubted it. I know Luke Rudkowski, and I should have known that the idea of selling
25,000 tickets
would seem completely reasonable to him.
I'm going to rest my brain now.

The movement has given more and done more for the first responders than the "debunkers" ever will.
This is coming from a guy who's producer accused the NYFD of being part of the coverup and is sporting several plasma TVs in his house.
And Dylan, some of the debunkers that you wonderfully put in quotes are the first responders, EMTs, and firefighters that you raised funds for. Hell, I think Chainsaw on JREF even raised a few funds for the victims and the first responders a while ago with his chainsaw tricks.
This kid talks too much crap.

They were only about 24 500 tickets short.

So 84% of the population things 9/11 was an inside job and they got $10k, how much money was raised on the end of the 24% who don't think 9/11 was an inside job?

Just to put that figure in perspective, the NY Yankees draw more than twice that many on an average weekday night for a game against a non-contender.
Yet the 38-84% twoof movement could only draw 500 on their biggest day of the year.
The twoof movement is dead. :D

The thing Dylan needs to realize is that debunkers are not a movement. We don't have clubs, we don't have conferences and guest speakers, not even t-shirts. We barely even have websites. We are just a bunch of people with our own lives who post on these issues occassionally. Thus we have no real way of fundraising.

Yeah, most of us are doing this completely pro bono. We're not the ones selling DVDs, t-shirts, tickets and whatever else we can market.
He's asking us to donate money we're not making.

agreed. and not many of us can donate, because of social/economic reasons, but its enough that we support the causes.
How much $$$ has these guys donated from the sales of their "films" that actively accuse the first responders and NYPD of mass murder?

I'm sort of ambivalent about this. 10 grand is still money, and for a good cause, even if it was gathered under false pretenses.

Color me cynical, but has any organization actually confirmed receiving any such money?

How much does it cost to get a little icon proudly displaying the JREF Donation?

Great excuse! No way to raise funds, but can you donate funds??
You could advertise on SLC Blogspot. You could seel SLC the movie on DVD. Get creative!

does it matter? What does the JREF donation have to do with donating to legitimate 911 related charities?

here you show that you are nothing more than a troll. We donate on our own, in private. We dont need a "group" to tell us to donate, nor do we need to organize an event just so we have a reason to donate. Do these guys donate any other time than whatever group organizes a troof rally?
You could advertise on SLC Blogspot.
It costs money to do so. SLC is a free blog, why do you think they are using blogspot.
You could seel SLC the movie on DVD. Get creative!
unlike your friends, who dont mind selling dvd's that claim the FDNY and the NYPD were "in on it" all teh while, they are using the FDNY and NYPD as a front to protect themselves from criticism; we dont resort to such lowly tactics to rake in the $$$$
By all means, please post your receipts!
