Considering recent anti-French sentiment here in the U.S., I'm surprised someone in Congress has not introduced a resolution condemning the National Hurricane Center for it's choice in naming the storm currently bearing down on Florida. ;)

Well, I'M outraged! After all, I'm going to be at the beach this weekend and it's not nearly as fun while there's a tropical storm passing over.
Oh, about the NAME ... nevermind. :)

According to P.G.Wodehouse the French are the only ones who ever figured out a cure for gray hair. It is called the guillotine.

Perhaps tropical storm Henri should be declared a weapon of mass destruction.

Perhaps instead of causing outrage, the name has caused SHOCK AND AWE!

Maybe they ought to call it "Freedom Storm Henry"
It is actually kind of catchy, now that I say it.

Just a tip for those who may not be in on the joke,
but hurricanes are named ten years in advance so as to avoid the apprearance of them being named for transitory flivers such as the movie star of the moment, or which baseball pitcher currently has the best curve ball, or which did intern did what to the president, and that sort of thing.
Ooops! I had to work in my anti-Clinton jab like so many others. (hee, hee!)
Toodles!

These hurricanes are an outrage! Something must be done about them! Why isn't the President behind legislation to outlaw them?

Sorry about that, I'll rephrase it:
Children are an outrage! Something must be done about them! Why isn't the President behind legislation to outlaw them?
