Hi,
I have been trying to get some information on MonaVie which sounds too good to be true. All over the internet the MonaVie tribe flood blogs with there amway sell. Can anyone point me to any unbiased reports on how good/ bad this product is. A few friends have fallen into there speel. The latest was a medical doctor on myspace claiming it cured cancer and his eyes. Im reluctant to post the URL as i am aiding in the spread of this company.
many thanks

To be honest I had not come across MonaVie before reading your post (I must live a very sheltered life), so did a bit of Googling.
From here http://www.monavie.com/%5F/controller.html
MonaVie is a delicious and energizing blend of the Brazilian acai berry – one of nature’s top superfoods – and other beneficial fruits.
This site (http://www.purplehorror.com/) appears to be pretty critical of the marketing methods used, I cannot comment upon their veracity.
From my very limited research it would appear that the people at Monavie Inc have combined usual rubbish re over hyping the health benefits of their particular fruit juice with a pyramid selling scheme. Nice model.

This month in particular, Monavie has been spreading like wildfire.
I too have personally been assured that it could cure my migraines, blood sugar, and aches and pains. I like the blood sugar cure-all...please explain to me how fruit sugars (something I should avoid) can cure that!
The biggest red flag of all with this product, is that is depends on MLM (Multi-Level Marketing), mainly a pyramid scheme where I try to indoctrinate people to sell the product, and retain a percentage of their profits. They in turn try to get more suckers, er I mean sales associates to sell for them.
I was given a free bottle by one of these charlatans, and I have to say, I think that stuff tastes just nasty. After being asked if it cured all my ills, I replied it did not. I received the expected answer of "you need to be on it at least a month to feel any difference." At $40 a bottle, a month would be quite costly, and at that time, I'd be out several hundred dollars.
What alarms me about the product is its acceptance by gullible baby boomers, bent on "natural" cures and remedies. If I had nor morals or conscience, I would start selling this myself.
