What isn't a conspiracy?

Sometimes it seems like every big news event either spawns a conspiracy theory or gets linked to an existing CT very, very quickly. So, in the CT universe, is the NWO (or whatever) behind everything? Aren't there any bona fide terrorist incidents that are just what the news media/government/police organizations tell us? Are we being told the truth about anything?

I think that's the ideal refutation of the "official story is a conspiracy theory" line of argument: that CT debunking is not about theories about conspiracies, but about the single overarching Conspiracy Theory that claims that everything that ever happens is all part of the same plan. It's like the difference between internets and the Internet, in that there may be many internets but only one Internet; although there may be more than one Conspiracy Theory, they are all alternative "theories of everything", and each one necessarily contradicts all the others so that at most one can possibly be true. A lot like religions, really.

For what I've seen conspiracy theories seem to have culture dependancy because at least in Scandinavia it seems to be somehow hard to homegrow wild conspiracy theories. Good example is passenger ship accident with 852 casualties en.wikipedia.org/wiki/M/S_Estonia , there were all elements of "activist" conspiracy theory but swedish goverment seemed to be only one showing any interest to Investigate! etc. so what kind of CT movement is that?

(9/11 is most popular CT here, we got our own little movement thou one New Age religion called "Rising Sun" which is teaching illuminati and 9/11 stuff - as boost for effort to deny reality from followers - seems to be more efficient in this than local truthers.)

They do? I googled and found their pages, but with a cursory glance found nothing but the standard New Age woo (numerology, auras, what have you; I'm not going to spend more time there, all that nonsense makes my brain hurt).

From what I've understood from discussing with some members, medical conspiracy is pretty well established, because chakras and "healing" are large part of their work they have established nemesis who supress their knowledge. They have lecture(s) about illuminati, not straightforward preaching but they discuss things like 9/11 and connection to illuminati without too much reality checks - for the spiritual growth.

CT was basically just KGB dumbing old evidence, and some spy stories around it. Jutta Rabe was a german journalist who made some theories. There were all the elements for good paranoia, american battleships were present and so on. The alternative theories did not escalate into paranoidic levels, that was my point.
