I wonder how many truthers, or debunkers for that matter, are familiar with the late great Fred Dibnah, steeplejack, controlled demolitions man, and steam enthusiast?
The reason I bring this up, is that Fred, was one of the last of his breed, he would carry out controlled demolitions on enormous industrial chimney towers, but WITHOUT any explosives.
Fred, was a sentimental old man, he hated destroying chimneys, he saw them as part of Britain's industrial heritage, as a result, he used traditional methods to destroy them, chopping away at the brickwork to unbalance the structure, then placing wooden props in to take the load. Finally he would burn the props, causing the chimney to lose balance and succumb to bending moments in a similar way to a tree being felled.
Because the WTC's succumbed to bending moments, I feel this is relavent.
I also wonder how many truthers, understand what a bending moment is.
What are your thoughts?

Think about the ammo you just gave the woo. Now we are gonna have to listen to them claim the structure was unbalanced put had load bearing props put in place that the fire removed. Thanks :)
Anyone want to start a pool as to how long until the first woo claims this?

And remember, Fred didn't die until 2004.

Very interesting Pete. I haven't seen this mentioned here before. It's interesting to note that NIST decribes the south perimeter of WTC1 as bending inward and buckling with the result seen in the videos being that the top part tilts to the west. Doesn't seem to make sense.

I wonder if they'll wheel out footage of one of Fred's steam engines parked up on the WTC Plaza?

Nah, they would have been in the basement. That's what all those explosions were.

Ah yes, the next revision of Rodriguez's witness statement will have added..
I heard this broad Lancashire accent, a toot of a steam whistle and then BOOOM!

$ SET MODE MOONBAT=ON
The TRUTH is that the steam explosion and the fall of the WTC were both engineered by the same malevolent menace; The Mole Men who live in the forgotten spaces under NYC. It is THEY who sapped the Twin Towers and WTC7, but it was mere coincidence that the hijackers chose the very day to crash into the towers that the King of The Mole Men had chosen to bring them down!

You are mistaken. WTC1 leant to the south.

I would venture most truthers would be spinning their gears trying to figure out a big word like steeplejack.
