From the latest LTW announcement.

Loose Change Final Cut will be available at 12:01 AM, EST, on November 11, 2007 as a digital download. One week later, the DVD will start shipping – in your hands in time for Thanksgiving in the US. In December 2007, we will be working with theaters that have already committed to showing the film and looking to our grassroots supporters to get their local theaters to show the film. The immediate success of the DVD and digital version will ensure the content of the film remains untouched while grabbing the interest of independent theaters throughout the world.

Distribution of the film will be done directly through the Loose Change site, through Prison Planet (Alex Jones), and through Joining the Dots TV (Mercury Media in the UK). Digital versions will retail for $6.95, and the DVD will be $19.95.

Louder Than Words remains committed to the truth and will be donating 10% of profits to such organizations as The Feal Good Foundation. Join us in making a difference and pushing for a real 9/11 investigation!

Bolding mine... please don't tell me this means another version if this one doesn't sell?

ETA: On re-reading, it may not be "pay-per-view", as such, but pay for download. If that is the case, I stand corrected.

Lol. Can you imagine that garbage on Pay Per View? No way. And for some reason I think at least half of that quote will turn out to be a lie.

Any store, franchise, gas station, theater or other retail medium that sells this stuff will lose my business indefinitely. I can't imagine a for profit business that isn't solely dedicated to this stuff actually trying to take it main stream for fear of a boycott.

IMHO the best they can hope for is for the DVD to end up in some back end of nowhere gas station on the spinning video rack.

I don't think the twoofers will be thrilled to spend $7-20 on a product that is basically LC2E only with cooler graphics and an interview with a firefighter who doesn't know which tower collapsed first.

and looking to our grassroots supporters to get their local theaters to show the film. The local Toronto kooks did that last month and screened some stupid 9/11 flick on the 6th anniversary.

According to the twoofers own estimates, 70 people showed up in a theater that seats 700 (an average weekday night screening draws 150+).

Where's Dylan's concern at. Spreading the truth or making money? Can't the conspiracists see this?

Out of curiosity where is the other %90 of the profit going?

Given the fact that they were soliciting donations to finish Final Cut, I'd be interested in how any donated money factors into the profits/costs situation.

Any lawyery or accountanty types care to field this one?

With responses like this:

I think that's a good approach, pay-per-view, at least at first.

and this:

$7 bucks for an inhome premiere with friends, not a bad way to spend time on a Saturday night!

I'd presume not.

So at over $4 million promised to charity, Dylan expected to net $41 million dollars on this thing?

I must get some of that weed before I die.

Hey guys...do you hear that? Listen closely...

Sounds like a fast clicking noise, hmm...wait a minute. It's Gravy! Shaking in his boots! Ah man this is going to be great!

They gave away "loose change" (1, 2, se) for free to change the world.
It was watched "80 million" times and the world is still in its place.

Now they are gonna sell it. And hope for 240 million copies sold ("we intend to triple that, at least").

That sounds quite reasonable.
I strongly recommend Dylan to produce 50 million DVDs in forward.
Rent a huuuuge storage room. Please.

***

They (the loosers) wrote
After many hours of consideration, we decided that a Hollywood release just isn't right for Loose Change. In order to access the normal "big movie" distribution channels, we would have to relinquish editorial control of the film. "We decided..."
I wonder how Michael Moore solved this problem.
Or the makers of "blair witch project" (which has some in common with loose change).
On the other hand - Dylan knows his audience and learnt something about marketing.

But I think this "decision" was a big mistake. I he had the chance to reach the masses (even with a watered version) he should have taken that road.
Would have been more substantial than shouting "building seven" in a tv-show after all.
It looks so idealistic, so anti-commercial, anti msm and so short-sighted stupid.
Not that I think there was a real "decision" to make...

I predict 10.000 downloads in the first two weeks,
20.000 dvds sold this year.
And a great success on rapidshare.

You have to understand that many truthers will buy it simply because they get to see it AND it supports Dylan, LC, and the truth movement. And there are a good number of them who will encourage others to see it and buy it, or will even buy numerous copies to give out to people. I'm sure Dylan will make quite a bit of money.

Maybe they will take poll flooding to the next level and each buy 100 copies of the DVD.

Rev91? Devastated?

Not likely. Rev's so in love with Mr. Smirky that he's thinking this is Christmas and Thanksgiving and Valentine's Day and the Fourth of July and St. Swithens Day all rolled into one.

Dylan could go to California and slash the tires of Rev's BMX and moon his mom and dad, run over the family dog, and then take a dump in the swimming pool, and Rev would be asking him for, "More! More! More! Do it again, Dylan!"

Hi, The_Animus

You have to understand that many truthers will buy it simply because they get to see it AND it supports DylanThat´s why I guess it´s up to 30.000 ppv/dvd this year. All the christmas presents fot highschool kids. Just look at the views on lcf. The thread "will lcf bypass google video" gets twice the hits as average (which is around ten to 15 readers/one post at lcf). They can´t wait...
But even if they sell 300.000 it does mean nothing. They will never be as big as they´ve been.

Hi, qarnos
Maybe they will take poll flooding to the next level and each buy 100 copies of the DVD to make it look like there are more of them than there really are.Like Epstein did with "please please me"?
Remember the donations before the 911-twoof-fiesta in NYC?
I don´t give the truthers that financial background. Maybe I am wrong - but all I can see is a desperated, dying movement with lcfc as its swan song.

Now what occurs to me is how much I'd like to be a fly on the wall as our teen friends over at LC try and talk mom and dad into lending their credit card so they can pay for this digital download or DVD.

But then I do like sick comedy.

Considering what we are finding out about Sheen in his divorce battle, if the truthers had any brains they would be happy to have dodged a bullet on this one.But they don't have any brains, and are so desperate to get publicity that will embrace any grade B celeb without stopping to think that the celeb might actually have a negative public image.
Right now I note the Twoofers seem to be high on the idea that Michael Moore will come out as a Truther in his sequel to F 9/11. Time will tell.

LOL heres what one twoofer suggests to do with the money they make...\

10 % Jon Feal Good Foundation
10 % - Family members ( there largest organization
5 % 9/11 truth- (wearechange, scholars for 911 truth, student scholars, etc....)
75% goes to LTW and whatever they want to do with it.

So he basically has them keeping 80% of the profits and spreading out the other 20 amongst other groups...what a load of rule 10 here if ya ask me.

The "new investigation" stuff is just a convenient excuse for twoofers to fall back on when asked to explain why they can't put together, much less agree upon, a theory of what happened on 9/11 that is coherent or even internally consistent. E.g: "We don't know exactly how they pulled it off, that's why we need a new investigation!"

I'm up for that, plus I'd love to point out how Dylan's not so much using the concept of fair use, to rip off TV footage, but more like "extracting the urine" use.

That means that once every native English speaker in the US has bought his/her DVD, they only have about 25 million copies left for the rest of the world.
