The "Truth" now has another martyr, sacrificed to the evil JREF moderators.
Please take a moment of silence for the newly departed ZENSMACK89 (http://forums.randi.org/showthread.php?p=3083046#post3083046).

Well, if one can't post civilly, it's nobody's fault but their own.
Even lcf has become reasonable in that regard since there are at least a half dozen of us over there.
I'll give a minor kudos to their mods for that.

That would be one extremely boring forum if they didn't allow dissenting opinions, as would this one.
I was hoping they wouldn't ban Gravy. He put out a peace offering. That's admirable in my view.

Now all you need are some dissenting facts and evidence to support your unsubstantiated dissenting opinions.
Poor Zen had no facts and evidence to support his idea on 9/11, just like you. It is hard being wrong all the time and can lead to outburst that may get you banned. So far the 9/11 truth movement has only proven their title is ironic.
What is really boring; people who repeat the same unsubstantiated dissenting opinions over and over. It is interesting to see the different fantasies the 9/11 truth movement generates and how people blindly repeat them. Sad to see people think an opinion actually is more credible than facts and evidence.
Zen's frustration must have been spurred by his lack of any real evidence to support his position. It would be refreshing to see people admit, as you do, you only have opinions not based on fact, evidence, reason, logic, or rational thought. You seem to have a good handle on the fact you only have opinions base on hearsay; you are well grounded in those opinions and you have not let the overwhelming evidence against your opinions bother your false and logically flawed opinions. Brovo. Good job.

Suicide by mod is the 'official' term.

Suicide by mod is the 'official' term.
Indeed.
The same old m.o. as has been exhibited by other suicides by mod in the past. I wonder if they pass the playbook around amongst themselves:
1) post all kinds of nonsense that you know you can never justify or finesse your way out of;
2) hope that nobody calls you on your nonsense;
3) when you are called on your nonsense, refuse to respond to it in any meaningful way;
4) feel the heat of your refusal to respond to being called on your nonsense
5) breach your membership agreement repeatedly;
6) get yourself suspended for three days as a result of #5 above;
7) stomp your feet and pound your fists against the wall, and then post via a sockpuppet because you cannot accept the justified sanction in #6 above like an adult;
8) get yourself suspended for a month for your further breach of your membership agreement, as a result of your sockpuppetry in #7 above;
9) send nasty messages to the moderators because you are too stupid to avoid #1 through #8;
10) get yourself banned because you're a complete and utter idiot.
Result: Suicide by mod in 10 easy steps.
(ETA: Some trolls do it in fewer steps and shorter time, but the template is still valid)
Zensmack89 was a troll and an idiot, and too stupid to refrain from self-destructing. Gee, what a shame.:rolleyes:

I have stated that I strongly oppose banning loons for their crazy opinions. Still, when people write abusive PMs to the mods, you have to assume that they can't handle the criticism of their position and have decided on a face-saving way out.

I think we'd all agree that his position on the 911 liability fiddle was very poorly thought out and argued; when boxed into a corner he didn't put his hands up, but rather got abusive. Not a smart move.
I did think it bizarre that a man who seemed to ascribe to "no planes" considered the investigation to have been subverted due to fear of liability by the airline companies. :confused:

I've seen a fair number of mod actions against non-truthers in the CT subforum. Off the top of my head there were the bannings of Troy from WV and Perry Logan, and just the other day the suspension of Oliver and Pardalis for derailing too many threads with bickering.

A few other debunkers who have received at least one suspension: DRBUZZ0 (http://forums.randi.org/showthread.php?t=91799) (more than once), Liszt (http://forums.randi.org/showthread.php?t=84711), Darth Rotor (http://forums.randi.org/showthread.php?t=81374) (more than once), and The Atheist (http://forums.randi.org/showthread.php?t=80037). And outside the CT subforum there are also people who are more or less in line with the Randi-esque debunker view of things but sometimes get modded for going overboard.

Forget the "official story". The truth movement needs to use facts instead of opinions to support their made up junk, ideas, questions, and support of any 9/11 truth conclusions.
Simple, the entire 9/11 truth movement has zero facts to support their conclusions. Their crazy opinions are flimsy support in a factual debate on 9/11. Their tactics work great in politics and religion; but are worthless for 9/11.
