I really recommend this documentary that I watched on the History Channel International called "100 Years of terror" which was filmed and created before 9/11, I believe 1999 or 2000. In the beginning they go through all the different terrorist cells, such as the IRA and Black September. They also move into Jihad and briefly on Osama Bin Laden. Its very interesting because at the end a Gentleman (I can't remember his name right now) describes how Terrorism is going to become more complex and devastating as Terrorists begin to evolve.
I find this interesting because terrorists have made it clear, especially religious fanatics such as Jihad, want a higher body count to get their message across and they have been saying this since the 70's, yet Conspiracy Theorists really go off the deep end to deny this well known part of history.
