View Full Version : ShadowPlay 9/11 - New Documentary

This was mentioned in another thread, but I think it deserves its own thread. What is particularly original about this film is the way it supposedly links 9/11 conspiracy to the anti-war left. What's most likely unoriginal about the film is the claims it makes regarding 9/11. Establishing a link between the anti-war debate and the 9/11 conspiracy debate also appears to be the goal of the film, with 911blogger noting:
http://www.911blogger.com/node/8911
I think that this film has the potential to erase the "firewall" between the anti-war Left and 9/11 skeptics.
There's also a trailer on YouTube for this film.

It hasn't been released onto the internet yet as far as I know.

Well the movement is desperate now, so they are trying to link any anti-govt group with their cause. I have been saying for some time that the left had better do their best to marginalize and isolate these kooks, or they will be associated with them.
Now someone has tried to make the connect through film.

I got the link on facebook from one of the anti 9/11 conspiracy groups. I've given up on links from truthers. Anyhow, that's the premise Doc? Quite original, and like TAM has mentioned earlier, truthers are desperate to get anything to stop their movement from going to the dustbin...

Hmmm, I'm torn. Space Beams Fetzer had a lot of good points in that clip. But then so did Dr. Jesus in America Jones.

The way I see it, conspiracy theorists are desperate to align themselves with the anti-war left, because most of the country is relating to the anti-war left at the moment. The pro-war right also want to see this happen, as it will severely discredit the anti-war left. O'Reilly's going to have a field day with this kind of thing.

The alignment is natural and well under way. If you think 9/11 truth is desperate, you are spending way too much time here.
O'Reilly's going to have a field day with this kind of thing.
O'Reilly is great for 9/11 truth, he has no credibility and gives lot's of free publicity.

Statistical trends, public and private polling and internet throughput data indicates the truth movement peaked in late 2006. The truth movement is currently becoming more fractured everyday, but if you have some evidence to support your claim I would love to take a look at it.

Is that why your internet websites are declining in page hits, and why the people who profit off gullible people such as yourself are pleading for money?
Your turnout to disrupt and disrespect the 9/11 anniversary at Ground Zero was substantially worse than last year.

Natural? To me that says that the motivation behind 9/11 conspiracy theorists is purely political.
O'Reilly is great for 9/11 truth, he has no credibility and gives lot's of free publicity.
He's got more credibility and more viewers than Alex Jones, Dylan Avery and Rosie O'Donnell combined.

No, no, no! It's much more than that. It's also a vehicle for no-talent hacks to sell crappy books full of lies, and for spelling-challenged wannabe graphic artists to sell crappy t-shirts, and for mentally challenged wannabe pilots to sell barbeque aprons, to the misguided, to the delusional, and to the 8th graders at Butt(rule 10), Iowa* Elementary School.
It also has a nice little niche for a few once-upon-a-time scientists, once-upon-a-time physicists, and once-upon-a-time water testers, whose professional careers didn't go so well.
*No offence to Iowans intended - "Iowa" just fit the flow of the sentence. ;)

9/11 truth, a fringe group of failed professionals who make up lies about 9/11. 9/11 truth also has a group of followers unable to think for themselves or able to understand the reality of 9/11.
Stronger. Only a few individuals are having stronger delusions about 9/11.
Failed group making up lies about 9/11.

Kind of an oxy moron. People learning the truth is why they keep moving away from the 9/11 cults. People learning that people running around in their underwear yelling "truth" is another reason people keep leaving the 9/11 cults.

The political leanings of the truth movement are as diverse as the population of the country. There are even officers from the military, FBI and CIA who question the OCT.

Nice to see Dr. Jones was able take time off from excavating for the lost tribes of Israel to appear in yet another 9/11 truth film. Yeah I know that's a poor argument but how many times can this guy be recycled? There must be a build your own 9/11 CT video kit out there that enables anyone to simply paste together pre-made interviews, voice overlays and a spooky soundtrack.

Yeah, I saw that too. Pathetic, really. The box cutters I used to use (cutting boxes) were robust hand tools that used a single sided reinforced razor blade. What was she using? A ribbon cutter or something?

It's funny how that English lady (sorry folks) finds it odd how the 'cavemen' had little box cutters. She must have missed the fact that at least two of the four planes had a hijacker with a fake bomb strapped around his belt.

My comment was an intentional generalization. Of course there are exceptions, as there are in everything.
You are blind if you think that overall the truth movement does not have left leanings.
As for the truth movement not being anti-govt, I think you need more than glasses. The examples of this are so numerous as to take up its own thread.
The anti-war movement is anti-bush, more so than anti-govt, but right now Bush etal are the govt, so right now, the anti-war movement is anti-govt...to a degree.

The claims are old...dear god, if I hear the "caveman" claim again I think I might go insane.
The hijackers were a mix of well educated (college) men, and not so educated (many of the muscle hijackers). Al-Qaeda planners are largely college educated, including OBL, Zawahiri, and KSM. It shows the complete IGNORANCE and RACISM of the truth movement to assume that because these men come from a country with cave filled mountains, that these terrorists, and terrorist leaders, are somehow simpleton "cavemen". Unfortunately, I expect as little from them.

What we in the UK call a "Stanley Knife", it's used by carpet layers & craftsmen of all descriptions. The blade is as sharp as a razor & can come in different shapes, curves & hooks are not uncommon. The hook blade looks quite nasty.

So that 4.6% is exceptional growth in 6 years.
Don't fool yourself... you're NOT in any majority by any means, and you won't be close to a majority anytime. Ever!
That is unless a Smart Virus comes along and kills all rational thinking intelligent people. Then ... maybe... you could crack the 5% barrier.

Another question for the twoofers: if you're aboard a plane that has been taken over by muslim hijackers, and they tell you they have a bomb on board, would you call their bluff by attacking them?

Does it even matter? How many hijackings before 9/11 ended up in a suicidal planecrash instead of negotiations on the tarmac?
And after watching the hijackers stab and kill some of the passengers and flight personal, how willing would the passengers be to do something about the hijacking, taking into acount the first point?
