Does the JREF defend any trademark rights on the "Pigasus" flying pig symbol?
I'm asking because my morning newspapaper today (The Philadelphia Inquirer) is dotted with teaser ads featuring a winged pig logo, rendered as a white on black silhouette. The copy of one reads "Who let the pigs out? Find out on November 9th" Another: "On November 9th, the sky will squeal."
I have no idea what these ads are for, and Web searches on the various slogans have proven unenlightening. I doubt they have anything to do with JREF -- and hence, my curiosity about trademark issues.
Respectfully,
Myriad

I doubt it, the flying pig as a metaphor and a symbol have been around long before the JREF.

To quote Tom Lehrer (originally referring to Santa's reindeer):
"Don't stand underneath when they fly by!"
