View Full Version : [ed]Twoofers accuse JREF forum of being in it for the money

My irony meter just exploded... (http://z10.invisionfree.com/Loose_Change_Forum/index.php?showtopic=18889)

On 9/9/07 and 9/10/07 there was two events in NYC that were held. For some of the asswipes in the CT forum "Conferences and events like this cost money to organize and put on." wasn't a good enough reason as to where the money that was collected was going besides going to the First Responders. So to all them, including Gravy I'll say, sucks when the shoes on the other foot doesn't?? I could go one about money but we all know what hypocrites many of those in the CT forum are.

I wonder how many more boulders these truthers are going to throw from their glass house..?

WHY? WHY do they continue to believe that JREF is all about 9/11 CTs? Have they never ONCE looked at the other forums on here?

My head hurts (although that could be from the wall-banging I suppose).

I have edited the title of the thread to make a distinction between the JREF and the JREF forums.

The JREF itself is not involved in debunking conspiracy theories.

WHY? WHY do they continue to believe that JREF is all about 9/11 CTs?

Because they think everything is about 9/11.

Or else, it wouldn't be the New World Order....

OH??? What do we have here???

JREF Store (http://www.randi.org/joom/component/option,com_virtuemart/Itemid,28/vmcchk,1/)

And amongst all the wonderful things you can buy, don't forget........

JREF Merchandise (http://www.randi.org/joom/component/option,com_virtuemart/page,shop.browse/category_id,9/Itemid,28/)

JREF Merchandise, how ironic. Where you can buy your very own James Randi doll.

So will one of the CT forum hypocrites like to post a link to the Loose Change store again??

The James Randi Educational Foundation is a not-for-profit organization founded in 1996. Its aim is to promote critical thinking by reaching out to the public and media with reliable information about paranormal and supernatural ideas so widespread in our society today.

Louder than words, LLC is a for-profit organization founded in 1996. Its aim is to purchase plasma screens and ATVs for Dylan Avery by reaching out to paranoid conspiracy theorists and the media with questionable theories about government conspiracies.

Look, this subject is something of a sore spot for me. It's a little late in the day to unravel the so-called glitches, the "misunderstandings"--yeah, yeah, "mistakes have been made." All I'm saying is that I AM WILLING TO BE IN IT FOR THE MONEY.

I know you can hear me. You know who I mean. How's this for an offer: I will forget about the past. We can start all over. Listen closely: I never said I won't take money to do this stuff. Miguel made that up. I had never even heard of the Aztec Avenger before last year.

For the last time, I DID NOT say that offering to pay me to write insults on tiny blogs was insulting. I DO NOT regard it as insulting. I don't know how to make this any clearer--

I WANT THE MONEY!

I should add...this thread at LCF is in response to the JREF Conference (http://www.randi.org/joom/content/view/48/39/) scheduled for next January.

9/11 is their world. And they assume it's everyone else's as well.

They have an unhealthy obsession. They should be medicated.

do posters in the CT subforum take an active role in promoting sales at the JREF store?

do posters in the CT subforum receive any monetary compensation proportional to sales at the JREF store?

About the upcoming TAM 5.5:
This conference might as well have pro war frothing at the mouth neocons to tell us why we need more war.
Well, that's one idea. I'll run it by Randi and Jeff Wagg.

The other subforums and thousands of posts by the other members that never even look in here are part of an amazingly complicated cover scheme. That is why they only added the CT subforum several years after everything else was established.

Do you think delphi_ote "accidentaly" discovered Loose Change and started the original thread that spawned all this chaos?

This has been planned out since the early 90's when the World Wide Web first started becoming noticed by the general public.

To be fair, I think that thread was a bad attempt at making a point, and not actually him thinking the JREF is "in it for the money".

Also, changing the title of this thread is somewhat misleading. The thread in question, on the other forum, is (tongue-in-cheek, i think) accusing the JREF, not the JREF forums, of being "in it for the money".

A bad attempt at making a stupid point, as no one here has ever denied that TAM is a major fundraiser for the JREF. Contrast that to the twoofers doing backflips to avoid acknowledging that Dylan et al. are raking it in with all their DVD sales and what not.

e^n:

Again the JREF isn't just about Conspiracy Theories, they've had a long and varied past outside of these things. TAM is nothing to do with Conspiracy Theories and I doubt Gravy is even giving a presentation?

Something puzzles me (I know! What a shocker!)

I'm pretty used to being accused of working for the NWO, USG, Illuminati, etc. But the idea that I'm a government agent precludes the idea that the supposed front for the evil government is in it for the money. In other words, if the JREF forums are in it for the money, they can't be paying me. That also means that the people on the JREF forums are normal civilians.

Of course, CTists could claim that both are true. The NWO pays Gravy to post on this site, and then the JREF forums sell tee-shirts to make money off Gravy's awesome debunking prowess. It all makes such wonderful sense!

OK, so Gravy is making a presentation at TAM. Is he getting paid? Knowing how Gravy operates, I doubt he'd take money, or if he did he'd donate it to a 9/11 charity. He has repeatedly and forcefully stated he's not in this for the money.

And even if he took money, he's well worth it. I'd pay to see him slap down the Twoofies.

OK, so Gravy is making a presentation at TAM. Is he getting paid?Airfare and hotel are provided for the speakers. I'll pay my own way if I can, but I've got some things coming up in the next few months that are going to make money very tight.

Ive known about these elitest liberals for awhile. They love having long threads calling Christians whackos, chastising anyone who goes against the official government/media meme on any number of events, calling legitimate psychics "frauds", and on and on.

Oh dear...

No surprise in the least.

IVXX demonstrates quite convincingly that he and many of his fellow travellers:

are not the sharpest tools in the shed;
might have a parachute, but it's missing its ripcord;
are a lamb chop short of the mixed grill;
are several sandwiches short of a picnic;
are about as sharp as a sack of wet mice;
are several beers short of a six-pack;
are proof that evolution can go in reverse;
are the result of too much chlorine in the gene pool;and
they gargled, rather than drank, from the fountain of knowledge.

Well, you get the idea...

Stupid collapsed on itself so far that even the neutrons have collapsed. Stupid gotten so dense that no intellect can escape. Singularity stupid. Blazing hot mid-day sun on Mercury stupid. Perhaps this is some primordial fragment from the original big bang of stupid. Some pure essence of a stupid so uncontaminated by anything else as to be beyond the laws of physics that we know.

Okay, I'm done. Sorry for derail.
