During my dog walking constitutional this morning I was surprised by this little fellow just outside my front porch:

Now I've had my fair run in with spiders. I come across wolf, yellow, and spiny orbweavers aplenty in my yard, and even the occasional brown recluse inside my home, but this one was brand new to me. My google-fu is also very weak today because I have yet to find out what kind it is. It was a little less than an inch long and a beautiful iridescent green with yellow and white blotches on the abdomen. The photos really don't do this being justice.
Do we have anyone here who could identify this creature?

That's an "EEEEEK!" spider.
There's a lot of them about.

Nope, not a black widow... but it sure is pretty! What'd you name it?

Well, I haven't been gassy so there is no need to have it pull my finger.
But no, it's not a black widow.

I have yet to find an "EEEEEK!" spider, since I have no real fear of spiders. I used to catch wild tarantulas and horned toads, and them pit them together in a box, old school gladiator style!

At first I thought Xerxes... but now I'm leaning towards Aloysius...

Aloe-Wishes!
It looks a little like this cobweb weaver (http://entomology.unl.edu/images/spiders/steatoda_triang.jpg)
FWIW - Black Widows are in the cobweb weaver family

Sorry - I didn't look at your linked photos.
Definitely not a Black Widow.
Nevertheless - keep your fingers to yourself.

Compare it to a photo of an Orchard Spider - Leucauge venusta.
You will have to repair the link to the photo
