In warfare it’s been found that bombing cities to break morale usually strengthens morale. By “bombing” believers with facts, evidence and the ultimate sceptic terror weapon - science, are we just strengthening their beliefs? Perhaps it might be better to consider a different approach. Any ideas?

One idea I have is a form of “if you can’t beat them, join them” approach. What would happen if sceptics all claimed to be genuine psychics and advertised themselves as such for readings and shows? How would believers know who were the “real” psychics? It would make psychics a “dime a dozen” commodity and they would lose their “special” status. The hardest part would be keeping a straight face and getting to sleep at night.

Ummm. Fake psychics already are a dime a dozen, it doesn't seem to have helped yet.

Maybe I should've said "dime a 1,000 dozen". :D

It would not only mean there were more active psychics, but there would also be less active sceptics telling believers how to behave. Without people telling them they shouldn’t, maybe they wouldn‘t.
