Now I've seen everything.

Project Censored, an organization claiming to report on stories that are "censored" from the mainstream media (read: based on unreliable information and hearsay but supports Project Censored's agenda) has listed Steven Jones's report on the WTC as a "censored news story", implying that they think he deserves a lot more media coverage:

My initial reaction was a sarcastic "Hmm, yes, every crazy thing that every old professor says deserves a full week of mainstream media coverage".

Looks like Project Censored has gone Woo. Doesn't surprise me, given the absurd slant of many of their stories.

Is this censoring just in U.S. media, or is it happening in foreign media also? There are plenty of news outlets outside the United States after all.

I believe PC is ignoring the fact that if these "mainstream media" news outlets in question had bothered to publish Jones' parody of a scientific paper, they would also have to publish the objections of the mechanical engineering world to Jones' "objections."

I remember this from a year ago. For some reason their top 25 censored story lists are dated a year ahead. Their 2008 top censored story list is already out.

Edit: #16 for 2008 is "No Hard Evidence Connecting Bin Laden to 9/11"
Osama bin Laden’s role in the events of September 11, 2001 is not mentioned on the FBI’s “Ten Most Wanted” poster. Author: Ed Haas, The Muckracker Report, "Team Liberty."

Welcome to 2002.

Does that mean that there is a conspiracy going on in the calendar industry too?

Wait, if there was no media reports on these people, how do we know about them?!

I see they're using the mjd1982 definition of "censorship".

Peter Dale Scott compiles the Project Censored stuff and he's a goofball troofer; IIRC he's got a 9-11 book out.

No, there's just a few synching glitches in The Matrix's ongoing simulation.

Correct; the book is 9/11 And the American Empire: Intellectuals Speak Out, co-edited with David Ray Griffin.

Apparently "censorship" in this context means "they aren't paying enough attention to us." Nor should they.

Oh, this is disappointing. In the past, they've done some good work to draw attention to legitimate news stories that have not gotten enough attention.

<sigh>

I noticed this trend in reading about the Holocaust Deniers. They constantly scream censorship because people won't publicize their idiocy for them.
