Hi folks!

I stumbled upon an Ukrainian tv-station and I saw a clip with a boy with spoons and forks clinging to his skin. It looked like a 10 on the fake scale.

Here's an article describing the boy and his unseen powers: http://onlyinukraine.blogspot.com/2006/05/ukrainian-boy-attracts-spoons-and.html

It gets really interesting in the end:

Lyubov Lozyuk, a candidate of biological sciences from the city of Lvov, Ukraine, says that the phenomenon is known as natural magnetism. According to her, humans and animals can possess extraordinary abilities to pull things. However, the force of attraction varies in every particular case. By all appearances, the boy has quite pronounced magnetic properties. Some people are reportedly capable of attracting metallic items weighing up to one kilogram.

Natural magnetism? attracting metallic items weighing up to one kilogram? :eye-poppi

Apparently, the boy will try to break this amazing record:

I wish he'd go for the million dollar challenge :D

I saw a clip with Randi where he sprinkled some talcum powder on a self-aclaimed "magnetic man" and voila, nothing stuck anymore. That was hilarious :D

I especially like this from the story:

Right.... I think Lozyuk needs to go back to school and take more classes. That or the education system in Lvov, Ukraine needs some MAJOR help.

Such as your leg.

LOL! :D

Joking aside, is the phenomenon known as 'natural magnetism' normal in paranormal circles?

Has anyone with high 'natural magnetism' gone for the Randi money?

Has anyone with high 'natural magnetism' gone for the Randi money?

Maybe they fear his jar of talcum powder too much for that ;)

As there is no such phenomenon, the answer is no.

If anyone wants to watch a video of the Japanese show where Randi debunked "Magnet Man", you can see it here (http://vids.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=vids.individual&VideoID=11511547).

Much like baking soda absorbs odors, it's well known that talcum powder absorbs negative energies. Since Randi handled the talc, you can only imagine how many negative vibes it contained, and therefore it's no wonder the magnetman's mystical powers were hampered.

It's true.
