Rubbish, the selected moron-in-chief has done the following:
backed off the nonsensical new arsenic standards
promised to sign the clinton gun restrictions when they sunset
removed millions from paying any federal income tax at all to the point where some will get an overrage! (money they didnt even pay)
has increased social engineering in the tax code via the child tax credits
Far from a "miserable failure" (tm Dick Gephart) but still not a good president. His foreign policy I have no quarrel with but the domestic agenda needs an enema. Taxation needs a complete overhaul. The promised tort reforms are still far away. Not to mention, the Ginigrich spendthrift spirit seems to be dead.

LMAO!
I thought you meant you'd post something nice about Bush if Notre Dame won... as in "you guys better beat them or I'll post something" ... as an incentive kind of thing.
Hell, if I'd known I'd have saved you the trouble. :D
The only context involving the current presidency where I'd be able to use the term good with any sort of confidence would be something like the following:
Boy, it's a good thing we have term limits.

Hell, Wolvie! I thought I'd be making a sort of concession. Anyway, thanks for kicking the crap out of Notre Dame. I know this was not a "bet", but I felt an obligation to do something of which you would approve. Now I realize I screwed up (again). Well then, how would you like me to abase myself? You want me to trash Clinton?

Aw shucks man, I apprecate the gesture, but it's not necessary. Heck you could trash a political figure I like and it wouldn't bother me in the least... I'm in too good a mood after today's game.
I leave it at your discretion. :)

I had a feeling that you were a closet Republican, Tricky. You don't have to make excuses like losing a bet, it's OK, really.
Welcome to the dark side, pal :rub:

For those down under who don't know what's going on, it has something to do with a bet made on a(n American) football game, the result of which was Michigan 38 - Notre Dame 0.
Please do not assail Tricky for his statement above. Plase DO assail Tricky for making idiotic bets on a pathetic team.

Actually, there was no bet involved. I simply hate Notre Dame with a passion bordering on fanaticism. Michigan, on the other hand, is a pretty good school, doing battle with the evil Notre Dames and Ohio States of the world. For that, I forgive them the embarrassment of being in "The Conference That Can't Count". (The "Big Ten" conference has eleven teams in it.)
Anyhowsome, I was so grateful to Michigan for thrashing the horrible Catholic school (who is so brazen as to have a hundred foot high Jesus giving a "touchdown" signal behind one end zone) that I volunteered to do something nice for him. I guess I just miscalculated what would please him.
Maybe this would be better:
MICHIGAN IS NUMBER ONE!

What is wrong with you? He got a BJ in the White House!
What? He created one of the biggest surpluses the country has ever seen? That doesn't matter! He got a BJ in the White House!
What? He created one of the most prosperous economic times in history too? That doesn't matter either, he got a BJ in the White House !

You know, I've gotten over a somewhat irrational dislike of Clinton, but one of the best presidents ever? C'mon. I'd go with Eisenhower or Washington, probably Washington just for being the kind of guy who could have been crowned king of the US but instead allowed democracy a chance. Lincoln, who I think is a tad overrated (saved from a lot of tough decisions by a night at the theater and all), accomplished a dozen times more than Clinton ever dreamed of. Methinks you're misjudging historical proximity with greatness.
Sadly, I don't believe they're going to televise any of my Alma Mater's football games, so I'm stuck with the Bears who never cease to disappoint. Or U of Illinois... no, I think I'll stick with the Bears. :D
At least it's fun to see Urlacher crush people. :)

He also lied to the American people about it and oh yeah, there was that little lying under oath tidbit.

"Liberals always seem to forget that...why is that?????"
Speaking only for myself of course, it's not a matter of forgetting, it's because of perspective. The affair was none of my business, I didn't care. He lied to me about his affair, BFD. Bush led us into war in Iraq with lies. Maybe he knew, or maybe he just repeated other's lies. Regardless, that, I care about. Now go start a new thread about how, in the big grand scheme of things, lying about an affair under oath is sooooo much worse than stating false information in the state of the union address as part of the justification for going to war.

I have not forgotten about it, I just never thought the issue was worth turning the country upside down about because the case involved exactly three people: him, his wife, and Monica L.
Up until that point, there had only been one other case of a president having to defend himself in a Senate trial, and that was the Johnson case back in 1866 (I think that is right, however I may be off by a year or two). However, in that case Johnson took over from Lincoln and it was right after the Civil War, so one should not be too surprised given the unique circumstances.
I have know dozens of married men who have cheated on their wives and almost all of them lied about it (just take a look at some of the Republicans who did the same sort of thing). While such behavior is quite wrong, it is not worth the spending the vast amount of public resources to consider such cases.

Ahh but he did. ~$115 B-$192B depending on who your asking. We now face a deficit of $250B heading ( without the $87B EXTRA the administration just asked for) to 1/2 a Trillion dollars.
He also lied to the American people about it and oh yeah, there was that little lying under oath tidbit.
Liberals always seem to forget that...why is that?????
Lets call it correctly He lied under oath , when asked about a BJ in a deposition to a grand Jury that was impaneled to investigate a 10 year old failed real estate deal in which he lost money and after a five year investigation that cost 52 million dollars was cleared of any wrong doing. Except for the expanded role of the IC investigative powers to find SOME there there, which in turn was the smarmy Monika debacle and caught him ( literaly ) with his pants down.
If you want to compare notes about illegalities and improprieties we can start with St.Ronald and the Iran-contra cartoon, work our way through G.( I was out of the loop ) HW Bush to Dubya who with his circle of boardroom thugs got us in to a War that was not only unnecessary but which motives...Well you can ask those individuals who's names appear of the list of participants in the making of George II's energy policy party...O Ya that's right the VP won't hand it over. On to the Supreme Court I guess.
As for lying to the American people not only do they all do it , but then they take our name in vain.." Well, the American people want to know"...."The American People demand"..Thier all fulla ***** my friend.

That was Clinton's biggest lie, that he had created a budget surplus.
