View Full Version : Liberals Rejoice!

Iran's democratically elected president, Mahmoud Ahmadamnutjob, has announced that the Palestinian-Israli peace talks that've just started in Maryland are a "failure."
Liberals around the world were seen to rush into the streets at this news, waving Palestinian and Iranian (and a few Mexican, for some reason) flags while cheering this announcement.
Libearal Movement (CPUSA) spokesmodel I M Ateful stated that Ahmadamnnutjob's announcement is "proof that the Bush Whitehous-brokered deal is a failure," and that "free people's everywhere rejoice at the news that Palestinians will continue to be denied a homeland and will therefore always have an excuse to kill Jewish babies."

Wow! It is no wonder that someone of your vast wisdom is able to generate so many posts in such a short amount of time.

I am a liberal and usually vote Democrat. Matter of fact, I have never voted for a Republican presidential candidate.
I would happily trade another 4 years of Republicans controlling the presidency, and even Congress, to have a lasting peace in the Middle East. Heck, I would probably even vote for Bush, er, scratch that, for Cheney and admit that my criticisms of their vision was flawed and they deserve another 4 years if not another 8 years even. I don't agree with much on the Republican platform but I would be willing to sacrifice much of what I hold dear in the Democrat platform to achieve peace in the Middle East because I consider it vitally important.
So let me reiterate, I would happily support a Republican President if peace in the Middle East were a result, and I am a liberal.
Feel free to continue to listen to talk radio, the talking heads on TV, and your rabid conservative friends who all laugh and like to paint us liberals as so power hungry that we would sacrifice American lives in order to gain political power. I am sure it helps you bolster your own position in your mind to create that scenario. Or, you could take the position of a skeptic and actually talk to liberals to get your own evidence of how they think.

Yeah, at over 1,100 posts he is persistent but still a troll. I feel badly that I took him seriously in my reply but I have visited some ultra-conservative websites where regulars sound just like this guy and they are not trolls.

A couple of things we can be thankful for:
Ahmadinejad is not the only player in the Middle East peace talks, and he is in no way the arbiter of success or failure.
Tokenconservative's bizarre perception of world events is in no way a reflection on reality.

I suspect that TC may be Sean Hannity's alter ego. Either that, or SH and Ann Coulter's love child. Whichever the case, it's unlikely to affect the negotiations in the Middle East.

While the notion that the average Liberal would react in such a way is ludicrous I do in fact know some.....well two Liberals that probably would react that way. Of course they are both radicals and I make a point to never talk politics with them because I always end up longing for a root canal to distract me from the raging migraine.

Since Coulter is a virgin (we know this because she has never married) I would have to assume then that Tokie is the product of parthenogenesis, or perhaps even divine intervention.
I don't see AC as a political pundit as much as the world's unfunniest comedian. I see that Tokie is proudly following in her footsteps.

This was more the work of C. Rice, and Bush never had his heart in it. I do not see why I would rejoice at another administration failure. At this point it's just pathetic.

If something is true, I would call it news or information. If something is false and funny, I would call it a joke. If something is false and not funny, it's just a lie.
Why would someone start a thread just to post a lie? A boring, sad little lie.

I think he just gets.. ahem.. riled up with the thought of us godless, atheistic liberals.
Why he thinks Liberals hate peace is beyond me.
And to keep this on topic, can you state your source? Or at least share whatever it is your smoking?

How do you know he is not sincere in his posts? Why do you consider it more likely than not that he is posting things he doesn't believe?

He may believe it, but his post and run style is common from trolls regardless. And it seemed pretty over the top to me but like I said earlier, I know some consevatives who really DO think exactly like the OP.
Anyway, does it matter if he is a troll or not if he never even returns to his own thread?

I noticed that 'Tokenconservative' was suspended the other day for 24 hours and he has not made any posts since then.
I hope that he does not ever come back.

I googled his username. He's been banned in lots of places, in fact, from nearly every place that comes up in the results, so he probably thinks he's banned here too.

What's really odd is that even on a conservative forum he apparently thinks of himself as a "token conservative."

I just stumbled on some of his other JREF threads and those threads, by themselves, indicate he is/was a troll. The links to other boards also provide overwhelming evidence as well. For some time, I believed that his bigotry was sincere. I was wrong.

His refusal to even identify what state he lived in (http://forums.randi.org/showthread.php?t=99933) struck me as troll nuttiness rather than closed-minded nuttiness.
