I see that G-A-P as part of their "environmentally sensitive travel" have managed to deposit 46,000 gallons of environmentally friendly diesel fuel in the antarctic.
Good to know that all those "environmentally conscious" tourists have left their mark.
sheesh.

HAR HAR! A nasty accident, which could have had potentially fatal consequences, and which will certainly have negative environmental consequences, occurred. THOSE ENVIRONMENTALISTS ARE TEH STOOOPID!

LOL!!!
Better than the 20,000 s.f. heated horse barn (geez...our horses seem to get along just fine without heat) "environmentalist" John Edwards built or the $20,000 a year "environmentalist" Algore pays out in energy bills...his "carbon footprint" is now almost as big as his enormous backside.

Actually, yes...they are.
In England a few years ago some fellow travelers of your friends, the enviros did this: they "freed" some "enslaved" mink from a mink farm.
Into the local environment.
Now, I don't know how much you know about weasels (mink are weasels...we call them "mink" because selling some rich dame a "weasel" coat ain't gonna work, dig?) but they are one of nature's nastiest little killing machines. These are truly wonderful little creatures who will, as is the wont of most of their kin, kill until there is nothing left to kill.
Well, you can imagine how this ...impressed the local native fauna populations of hedgehogs, ground nesting birds, rodents, etc. It impressed them right into extinction in a matter of months. There is nothing like this (now) in the English countryside save the occasional feral housecat, and so the weasels had, well...a field day with these essentially entirely defenseless local animals, quickly decimating them for miles around their former "death camp."
Then they ran out of things to kill and started working on local chicken farmer's stock. Which...displeased those farmers, who, at great expense, hired trappers to come in and kill the nasty little buggers off with poisons and leghold traps...far nastier ways to meet your end than being gassed as is the prefered method of mink farmers...but at least the weasels, er, "freed captives" were well fed!
Enviros ARE stupid.
Spilling fuel into a delicate ecology just so their more well-heeled members can take "ecological" holidays is not proof of that. No, it's proof of their hypocrisy.
Is that better, do you suppose?

Now would I be wrong to label all US Conservatives vicious, biased demagogues based on a small, vocal sample (of one)? Nah... how could I be... nothing wrong with drawing wild inferences from outliers...
Sheesh

Taking a calculated risk and having things go wrong (storing fuel in ecologically sensitive areas) is not the same as acting rashly because you are ignorant of the basics (dumping a horde of mustelids into the countryside).
However, reading your posts gives me the same instinctive dislike I used to get from the texts of a certain Swiss creationist who finishes most of his posts with "Evoluzzis are stupid", so I'll disengage and let people with a higher annoyance threshold take you on.
