Feathered Bastard
Our buddy Stephen Lemons, who wrote a terrific profile of Screw Loose Change gathered a ton more information on the 9-11 crackpots than could fit in his cover story, and is releasing on his Phoenix New Times blog, the Feathered Bastard. Not all of his posts are 9-11 related, and there is some strong language, but he's a fine writer with a keen and piercing wit.

Mary MacElveen
  Dear List members,

I am a contributing writer for OpEdNews.com and have recently gone up against conspiracy theorists. In every single column I have written since, people have blasted me for going up against the likes of Rosie O’Donnell in which they treat her like a goddess of the truth.

I recently lashed out at someone who wants to lead a boycott against my works on that site and I angrily fired back through this piece,
http://www.opednews.com/articles/ope...rter_of_th.htm.

Yesterday through various emails and open forum posts on some lists, some have called me mentally unbalanced and even snotty. This is what the so called ‘Truthers’ do to you. One even demanded of me that I hold a civil debate with him and frankly, I do not have the time, nor the inclination to give him that satisfaction. I was prepared to end my battle yesterday since I am not a paid writer and put the challenge out to the main stream media who is handsomely paid to write rebuttal columns to this alleged truth movement. I am going to wait to write another column after Dylan Avery, the producer of ‘Loose Change’ appears on The View this Thursday. Again, it is incumbent upon ABC to let an opposing opinion be presented in the interest of being fair and balanced.

Best,
Mary MacElveen!
