The Gay Agenda Kidnaps Presidential Candidates!
The first presidential forum ever that is dedicated to LGBT issues goes down tonight! You can watch it on their website.
Oddly, none of the Republicans decided to attend. I personally think that all the "debates" that they keep doing should the one issue. That way, the people can really get into their plans and get past thirty second sound-bites. And we don't hear the same BS every time. (Exciting enough for you DanishDynamite?) |

The slightly-to-the-right forumites on another forum I visit saw this as "pandering to the Gay Agenda", of course. The Right generally (in public statements, at least) portray "gays" as a tiny, aberrant minority of only a few percent of the population.
The Left may see them as likely to vote, and leaning more towards the upper figures given by researchers, approaching 10%. No one can afford to ignore a potential 10% of the electorate..... |

I've heard they plan to make MEN out of the Dems.
Yes, Clinton too. Well that's what I heard. |

I also though that it was very derogatory to cover this story as politicians pandering to gays, what gays don't have legitimate political issues or influence. We could also say that politicians are only pandering to the religious right!

Pah....come on folks. These people are an abomination in the eyes of God. How can a good God fearing Christian do anything but want to kill them all?
We need a debate on what to do with them all......How about we form a gay nation? In the middle east maybe..... |

Even if it points to the probable possibility that Republicans may be cowards concerning this issue, may I ask why Homosexuality is still such a huge Issue at all in the US that it's even an Issue for presidential debates? Why is that if it's not an intolerant "But MY God said...."-Issue? |

That is the real question isn't it. These people are treated as if their outright hatred of gays is legitimate some how, well they are using the God fairy tale to justify it after all!! It reminds me of the civil rights movement in the 60's when outright hatred of black people was held as somehow legitimate, also often religiously justified, see a pattern yet! Though the outright hatred of blacks being somehow legitimate is still true is some places in America!
