Ishiba wants law for denfense against UFOs

Japans minister of defense wants a law for defense against aliens from outer space - he believes UFOs are controlled by extra-terrestrials!
Seems each country has it's own kind of nuts working in politics!

Put him in touch with Alex Jones, and Morgan Reynolds. We can get a multilateral anti-UFO system initiated.

(Was there a pile of empty sake bottles next to him when he made this remark?)

I understand that childrens' steak knives make excellent anti-alien offensive weapons. This is of course if they haven't been already banned...

I'm thinking a space death-ray.

The NWO is behind the UFOs! Open your eyes, the Truth is out there!

I'm sorry, Japan is wasting its time worrying about UFOs?!?! Surely they have more pressing threats, like Godzilla, Gamera, Mothra, and the dozens of angry monsters that seem to have a yen for destruction.

Well, isn't that obvious? You don't think alien spacecraft are controlled from here on Earth, do you?

It just so happens I have a machine that keeps the skies UFO-free within a 50 mile radius. Chicago has been UFO-free for a year now thanks to my machine. I will sell Japan a dozen for only $750,000 each, they are guaranteed effective against 99.5% of all space aliens.

Yes, it looks a lot like a toaster you but at Target for $19.95, that's just for security reasons.

"Personally, I definitely believe they exist," chief cabinet secretary Nobutaka Machimura said, drawing laughter from reporters.

Prime Minister Yasuo Fukuda took a more guarded stance later in the day, saying he has yet to confirm their existence.

The debate started on Tuesday when the cabinet issued a statement in response to the opposition lawmaker's question, saying it could not confirm any cases of UFO sightings.

Not all lawmakers are enthralled.

"Give me a break," ruling party lawmaker Toshihiro Nikai was quoted as saying by the Yomiuri newspaper. "There are many (other) things politics has to respond to."

Ishiba indicated it would be difficult to determine on what legal grounds the SDF may be mobilized when, for instance, there is a violation of Japanese airspace but the violating subject is not hostile.
"Would that be mobilization for an act of defense? That would not be the case if they say, 'Everyone on the Earth, let us be friends,"' Ishiba said. "Or what can we do when we can't figure out what they're saying?"
Ishiba added he was only speaking his own personal views and he did not mean his ministry is working out ways to deal with UFOs.
Prime Minister Yasuo Fukuda's cabinet endorsed a position Tuesday that Japan believes the existence of UFOs is unconfirmed in response to a question posed by a Democratic Party of Japan lawmaker.

This is really silly politics. Thankfully, the government officially says that UFOs are unconfirmed and their defense ministry isn't really working on it.

I see a film here: misunderstood politician, beautiful undersecretary or daughter his only supporter until the aliens actually come and only his legislative knowledge can save our world (but only after Tokyo has been destroyed in the inevetible fight between Gojira and the aliens' giant robots!.

I hereby volunteer my services.

I shall require:

1. A suitable radar installation

2. A few Stinger missiles

3. An adequate budget. Say....10,000,000 per annum or so.

I guarantee to keep the naughty aliens away.

On Earth? No. In Earth? Almost certainly!

Are you sure you wont need 10 mechanics, 10 scientists, and ten soldiers with Russian names too?

This post is quoted to emphasize the currency of the threat.

Also the undersecretary's daughter has a boyfriend who is a TV cameraman and he is the first one to get footage that proves the UFO's real and in the end all is saved when the undersecretary personally commandeers an alien giant robot and destroys the mother ship with the help of a nerdy tech who surmises they can overwhelm the alien computers by doing.....normal stuff because the aliens run Windows Vista for some reason.

Will they never learn?!?
