Thanks.

As Terry's t-shirt said last night on THe One show... " Frankly I would prefer Alzheimer's to be the victim". That says it all perfectly.

Pterry was on BBC 'Breakfast' this morning talking about Alzheimer's, and he came across very well, although he did stumble in a few places. He is clearly approaching it with a great deal of resolve and humour.

Yes, I saw it too. I remember his line at the end, when he was discussing why he kept going on TV all the time to talk about having Alzheimers, when people would inevitably be watching him for signs of deterioration (and it was only when he mentioned it that I realised that I was doing just that):
"If people don't notice that you're bleeding, they won't offer you a bandage."

And he was on 'Breakfast' again. Looking a bit thin, but pretty much ok, and he barely stumbled over his words at all. I didn't see the whole interview, but from what I saw he was very resolute in wanting to beat this thing as far as possible.

I have about 35 of his 43 novels, and I am thankful he wrote so many and they will always be here, even after he will not. As long as he can use his creativity and brilliance I hope he can write a few more, if he likes to do that.
