A similar argument can be made for the immediate sacking of 'Lollipop Ladies' outside schools. (For information, lollipop men and women in this part of the world let schoolchildren cross busy roads without being run over). Clearly they are counter-evolutionary and should be banned.
Let's drop our laws for the thorough testing of medicines. Evolution would see to it that only the right ones work with those who survive. Bloody do-gooder medical authorities. While we're at it, we should ban doctors and hospitals because they are "trying to stop evolution". Let's drop our 'Do not murder' laws and let everyone fend for themselves. Bloody do-gooder politicians with their do-gooder law enforcment agencies. We should ban all police forces. They're "trying to stop evolution". Let's drop our fire rescue services because, et cetera. How much more irony do I need to apply before you see the absurdity of your argument, amb? The point about civilizations and being civilised is that we look out for one another. We don't sit back and look at other peoples' woes in smug self-satisfaction. We can and should be better than that. |

You know very well that's not what I'm implying. That's civilization at work.
Survival of the fittest is why we are here instead of homo erectus. Point been, some of these people are still in the infancy of the evolving homo sapiens. They are not ready to govern themselves despite the Western worlds efforts to produce democracies there. In some cases, the rule of the jungle still applies. We can throw billions at the problem, but it will not go away until these people are ready to get off their arses and help themselves. |
