I kicked my son out of the house when he was 23. Far too old to be living off daddy.

Oh my, he is definitely an angry twoofer type then. I had to the same with mine too back in 2002.

Ordinarily, I'd agree.

However, he has never bought into conspiracy stuff. He calls me to verify rumors sometimes. Seems he trusts my opinion and is willing to check out things for himself. If he turns truther, I'd be suprised, but I will agree that he'd be the right age and education level to be sucked into 9/11 conspiracy theories.

Glad he never went there.

As I said, if anyone wants to compile different numbers from the data (such as median age, or anything else to be gleaned), be my guest.

I might give it a try before I work on my video assignment tomorrow. You think an excel spreadsheet might work for some of this?

I think it would work. There were some answers, however, that will be a little tough to categorize (see Applecorped response).

yes. The conservative number was rather low. Lower than I even expected. Most people in the "mixed" category described themselves as "Social Liberals, Fiscal Conservative".

You have to realize that conservative is a relative term. If the truthers in question are flirting with the far left (as most of the remnants seem to be), then anyone moderate or liberal is conservative to them.

Indeed, it is often remarked that even the mainstream UK right is further to the Left than the US Democrats.

The sad thing is, conservatives did not really care for Bush during his second term. I run a right-wing political blog and the past few years we had a lot to say about "King George". I guess the difference is between Bush-hatred and simply honest disagreement with his policies.

Yes, and the UK right is more health conscious. They shave their heads to keep away the lice.

I have an "honest disagreement with his policies", as, I believe, do most liberals and Democrats.

I think the concept of "Bush-hatred" is more a blustery attempt by some conservatives to rationalize, categorize and ultimately marginalize the "loyal" opposition.

Actually, I think the ultimate reason was (is) more to avoid having to defend his policies then anything.

Don't get me wrong, there are the extremes, which exist on both sides.

I'll drop the politics now with this. I hope the stats are enlightening to those that might assume how someone thinks based on how they vote. Now, let's go find the threads about birthers and see if a majority of the debunking comes from conservatives

I think you'll find that you missed the "mainstream" bit. And incidentally, if these chaps got lice it would be the only functioning bit of their heads....
