Alex Jones "Money Bomb" Campaign

http://infowars.com/moneybomb/

WOW...

I find it funny how the corporate media want to shut him down, yet he will get a show on Dish Network the second largest dish provider in the US.

"Donate to fight against the tyranny of the New World Order!"

If he get people to donate to an organization that doesn't even exist, I wonder if I can start a "donate to help the Unicorns" campaign? For just $10, you can fund a unicorn to fight against the NWO.

Dude, rogue unicorns brought down the towers. Why don't you just set up a fund to help the flesh-eating virus battle tooth decay while you're at it?

Alex Jones begging for money again

Remember last year, when the people that brought you the Ron Paul moneybombs sought to help Alex Jones raise $2 million to start a Dish Network channel to reach the sheeple who see television as truth? Alex Jones doesn't seem to want you to, but it happened.

Well, it's happening again, as I learned from commenter "manny" on the SLC blog. This time, there is no third-party mixed in, which was a defense I heard several times to allegations that Alex was just out to grab some money for nothing; it's all centered around infowars.com, and the original infowarsmoneybomb.com domain re-directs to the page on infowars. After raising just shy of a quarter-million last year, and no closer to the Dish Network channel than they were the first time, it's time for the 2nd annual infowars moneybomb. That's right, Alex is passing the hat under the guise of starting the Dish Network channel. This time, the fundraising goal is an easier-to-reach $250,000 (looks like the sinking economy must have made it a lot cheaper to start a channel) and instead of shooting for donations of $100, any amount will do, and sales at the infowars shop count towards the total as well.

Just wanted to point that out for anyone who might not think that Alex is in the conspiracy game to make money and raise his own public profile.

Since it is enough for sheeple why to change it.

And they at least are familiar with it.

Ah, didn't notice the earlier post. I should look harder.

I did find it interesting that everything's basically the same as last year, minus the transparent involvement of a third party. In fact, just about any reference to last year's moneybomb has been replaced with this year's. For someone who references 1984 so much, Alex is sure giving the memory hole a workout.

I just hope one of his followers realizes the scam AJ's pulling here and asks themselves why they're donating to a private company, again, towards the same stated goal.

I don't think he's really making much money. Remember that thread that showed his assets and income? His house was just a fairly average house in Austin. (Can't find that thread for the life of me now. )

Isnt it ironic that Alex is using those tainted, evil NWO backed-by-nothing worthless dollars? I mean, isn't he telling us we should all buy gold bars and stock pile them in the basement with the rest of our nuclear bunker supplies (guns and ammo)? Why does he want this worthless backed by nothing currency then?

In response to Alex’s desire to massively expand his income on all levels — in particular, his desire to expand the reach of his highly effective scam operation — we are announcing the Infowars Moneybomb. The Infowars Moneybomb is fixed to a period of time — it will run until June 11, 2009, with a goal of $250,000.

Alex will use this money to build a patio, a swimming pool, purchase cameras and equipment, computers, expand his waistline and hire additional household staff. Alex hopes to launch a new television show on the Dish Network, thus reaching thousands, possibly millions of additional sheep to be sheared by warning them of the nefarious "plans" of the "global elite" and the "New World Order".

Let’s do this! Get the word out, blog, forum, chat, email; let everyone know about this Moneybomb. The wingnut media sorely needs money — and needs a life. The mainstream media can be allowed to dominate the airwaves, as long as Alex gets his. Alex does not enjoy the support of big corporations with deep pockets. Alex Jones depends on your generosity and commitment to the fight to improve his house, so please donate to the Infowars Moneybomb today!
Truth in advertising.

That I don't know. Sounds like a lot of cash for such trash. Even if you like the guy, maybe $1,000 to donate to his cause (so he said).

That was posted on 17 May.

As of this moment, they've raised a whole $20,000.

$5,000 in 16 days. $312.50 a day. At this rate their total will be ~$28,000. All that will buy Alex Jones is a couple of lunches.

Here it comes...

We should talk about merging our efforts. I am currently the founder and director of "The International fund to fight Unicorn AIDS."

We are currently kicking off our summer drive to purchase condoms and educate Unicorns on their use.

Seriously though I would truly love for A.J. to have a TV show, the Daily show has gotten a little tired lately and I needs my giggles!

Actually as far as evil schemes go Alex jones Crapped a gold brick on this one. ( he better stockpile it before nwo toilet police break in.)

Think about it.

He sets an unreasonable goal, knowing that he has at least thousands of fans who will donate 50 bucks or so, but not enough to actually make the goal. Now when the goal dosn't get made he still gets the money and he can then from that point branch off how " the man" worked against him. He can go in so many directions, he could say that he DID raise the money but now the network wont accept it, he could say that somehow most of his donations went missing, or even that the funds were taken out of his account by shady G-men.

No matter what to the people who have ate this Ghoul's hook this will come across as evidence.

Sigh

His goal of $250k is actually a lot more reasonable and potentially reachable than last year's attempt. He was looking for $2 million last year (same aim, to start a Dish Network channel; funny how the costs of that dropped 88% from a year ago) and wound up with nearly $250k, and that was after the fundraising drive was kept going for another 10 days or so after donation day. We're talking about a lot of the same people donating to the same cause last year donating this year without pausing to ask what happened to last year's money or demanding even a sliver of accountability from the man that will lead them to victory over imaginary enemies.

Ya, and one of those tiny, short, squealy little ones. I'm picturing Alex with the harshest look on his face as he pushes as hard as he can to just get a little "pfffvvvvt".
You just made my brain puke.

Whats to stop AJ from moving up the meter to make sure the NWO thinks hes getting money to fight them?

Or, since the NWO is a fictional CT fantasy, I'd still bet given the size of his ego that he would move up the meter even if he never got a dime. Maybe not to the mark completely (he needs an excuse to do this again next year), but enough to make people think someone is truly dumb enough to send him money for this.

Believe me, Alex has plenty of followers dumb enough to just send him money for nothing. While the rest of us who have dedicated at least two firing neurons to critical thinking see red flags all over this thing, like the idea of a private company soliciting donations for an expansion of said company, there are people with disposable income perfectly willing to send it to AJ so he can keep up the fight against imaginary enemies. What's the saying? A fool and his money are soon parted? If so, than Alex is more than willing to do the parting.

The tally's up to $210k now. So, just like last year, they'll keep the drive open until the goal is reached. And their definition of a donation is pretty broad, including sales of merch and subscriptions to the premium site. Anything to feign support, I suppose.

Maybe millionaires / 911 nutjobs Darrel Rundus or Jimmy Walter have donated huge amounts.

I just found this which says Darrel Rundus bought that bullhorn. I haven't watched the videos or even heard of Rundus before this. Has anyone else?
