Flu Vaccine Myth Debunking--Need Input

Hi,

I'm trying to talk some family members into getting the shot. I've even tracked down the place and time to get it. The problem? Everyone's afraid of some vax mythology. I was hoping someone might be able to help me find some really convincing sites to help debunk some of these chestnuts:

1) "If I get the flu shot, I'll be more likely to get the flu this year, and the next, and the next, and the next..."

2) "Haven't people died from the new vaccine? Wouldn't it be safer just to get the flu?"

3) "Flu shots give you the flu, but a milder form, so you'll still be sick after you take it. I don't want to be sick so I'm not taking the shot."

Hi,

There have been some great threads going on in the Science subforum:

Should I get vaccinated?

The "myth" of herd immunity

Help! I need reliable sources on the truth about H1N1 & vaccines

Thoughtful responses to this H1N1 poster

There are more, I'm sure... you just have to do some poking around.

Cheers & good luck!
