I like you Eyeron. I like you a lot. I like your passion. Further, and perhaps most importantly, you've demonstrated a willingness to be gracious and show humility. You remind me a lot of me when I came here... jesus that was a long time ago.

Sadly that potential is wasted if you are not willing to be intelectually honest and strive for objectivity.

I wish you all the best. Perhaps some hard knocks here in this forum will do you some good. I've little time for you though if you are not at least willing to try and grow.

Best of luck to you. Sincerly.

With which I am and do many times. But I either get ignored or people troll me or get upset at me for some reason or another. It's also very hard for me to keep up that kind of thing at all times when people are trolling me and ridiculing me or getting upset at me for some damned inane reason.

But I also like to make people laugh too. This world needs more laughter. Everybody's becoming bogged down in oversensitivity and political correctness.

And no, hard knocks teach me more about the people themselves rather than forcing me to get in line.

And what you've just told me does tells me that I must only argue in a serious, linear and humorless fashion and that I must only argue things I support and believe in. And I must do this all times no matter what. And anything else means that people won't respect me.

Added:

But one my my biggest rules is this:

I will be fair to people who will be fair to me.

If people are not fair to me then I will just throw it out the window.

Okay, eyeron, do you think obese people should be "banned" or not? Because many posters here think you do and have responded accordingly.

If this was not a serious thread, perhaps you should ask it to be transferred to Humor.

No, I do not think they should be banned, but I would like to see a lot more effort into encouraging people to lose weight and the creation of national wide camps that an obese person can go to to go to lose weight that can be paid through their health insurance.

And I don't believe it should be moved to humor because I was trying to make a real point with this thread, but it got lost because people couldn't get past the style of the post and I couldn't remember now what I was trying to say. After all, I have to be a good little robot and make my posts in a serious, and completely humorless manner from now on and I can only argue things that I support and am interested in. Boy, I sometimes wish I was on a serious drug like Ritalin. Maybe then I could meet people's expectations of how they think I should be for them.

Perhaps often, but apparently not this time.

It's funny because fat people are fat.

  1. When did we "ban smoking"?
  2. How does one ban obesity?
I honestly don't know what you are talking about?

What about people who drink alcohol? Shouldn't we increase the sin tax and force anyone who drinks in excess in FEMA camps? What if people aren't cured? Should we euthanize them?

We should also ban huge body builders. These people need lots of food to push weight around in a gym. And they look intimidating. They should be lifting rocks and bags of cement.

And mega-babes. I'm sick of them and their fake boobs. Do you know how much it costs to become a mega-babe? And for what? To make middle age guys feel awkward in front of their wife and kids at the beach?

American's houses got obese, too. Its embarrassing. The obese cars, at least, are falling out of fashion. But there's a new ship that's 5 times the size of the Titanic. Its obese.

To everything there is a season and a proper sub-forum...

Or something like that - it must be true, the Good Book says it's so.

Eyeron,

I dunno, frankly.

As satire, I'd give you about a 60 grade. While, you certainly had enough people taking the bait, it was just so obviously a parody that I deducted forty points for ham-handedness.

Just as to why anyone would've continued had they read your comment about "not being in the Constitution", I don't know, but many may have missed that throw-away line. I know I've glossed over posts in heated threads before, and I think that a lot of folks are like me - we've kinda learned to rely on posters to self-police and post parody in FC or in Humor.

Title of the OP:
We Should Ban Obesity

Simple solution:
Change the measure of the body mass from kilograms to metric tons. Keep limit for obesity at 30. Et voilą!
Obesity gone.
