Can the electoral college pick a different Vice Prez?
Does the electoral college decide not to vote in the winning prez's running mate. COuld they say vote in Bush, but then choose Edwards for VP?

Interesting question. According to the Twelfth Amendment, they can vote for whomever they want for President and Vice President. Most if not all states have laws preventing electors for voting for anyone but their party's officially nominated candidate. These laws have never been tested in court.

Bush/Edwards would be the worst of both tickets.

Wrong. Bush/Cheney would be the worst of both tickets.
Is it too late to get John McCain? |
